How many of you spend time like me mining the story archives looking for promising stories to read, and find yourself wasting time reviewing stuff you've already read, and forgotten because you look at so many? [And yes, I know I just admitted I have no life at all.]
It would be extremely useful to have a simple button on the story page, that you could select, that would tell you you've already read this one. It would be useful if that data were also displayed on the author's works page, and in the list of recommended stories posted at the end of each story, a place where I find many of the stories I read.
There are other ways, of course, you can check and see if you've left a rating, which I almost invariably have done, but that takes more time. And I know a lot of you don't bother to do the author that simple courtesy.
Not only that, but it would be very useful if the story rating would be displayed on the story page itself, instead of having to go to either the archives, or the author's works page, to see it.
