So, I’m a first-time writer—and a first-time publisher (big moment, right?). I’ve never actually published anything before, unless you count the cringey short stories from high school or college... but we’re just gonna pretend that they doesn’t exist.
This story of mine falls under Erotic Coupling, though I’m considering adding some Dom/Sub elements as things heat up (think slow burn... with a lot of tension).
It’s currently just over 13,000 words, though there are some alternate versions of chapters, so the word count might end up growing—hopefully not in the "Oh no, I’ve written 50,000 words and they don’t make sense" kind of way. I’ve also put together a story blurb and character profiles because I’m that person who likes to have a plan (usually...sometimes.. I'm one hell of a list maker). My hope is to turn this into a full-fledged series, but I’m taking it one chapter at a time for now.
I’d love to improve my pacing and structure. You know, make sure it flows better than my last attempt at cooking dinner. After that, a little help on the plot would be great, and maybe a few grammar pointers here and there.
If you’re into helping a first-time writer get their feet under them, I’d love to hear from you! I promise it’ll be fun—well, as fun as reviewing a hot, steamy story can be.

Story Blurb:
Aurora Delaney is prepared for anything—except being stuck between floors with the devastatingly confident Dominic Steele, the man whose name is etched on the very building she’s desperate to impress. Armed with wit, sarcasm, and a determination not to let him rattle her, she finds herself playing a game of push and pull she never signed up for.
Dominic Steele is used to getting what he wants. Cool, calculating, and infuriatingly charming, he’s intrigued by the fiery, fidgeting woman who refuses to crumble under his gaze. What starts as a battle of wills quickly becomes something else entirely—a simmering tension that threatens to ignite.
With mirrored walls reflecting every unspoken word and every unguarded look, Aurora and Dominic are forced to confront a chemistry too powerful to ignore. But when the elevator doors eventually open, will they step back into their lives unchanged—or cross a line they can never return from?
