shy wife sends sexy pics to wrong number

After many attempts a husband finally convinces his shy wife to take some boudoir pictures. She's too shy to let her husband take the photos so she sets up a tripod and does it herself. Too shy to show him in person, she sends them to his phone when he's traveling so she doesn't get too embarrassed in front of him.

Somehow (insert plausible reason here) she sends first to the wrong phone number. She gets back a very positive response and, thinking it's her husband, sends the second, blushing crimson red as she does so.

At some point she realizes her mistake and is horrified by the way, the stranger is making lewd comments about her pictures and what he says he's doing with them. And the occasional photo of him jerking off to her photos.

Maybe she tells her husband? Maybe she's too embarrassed to admit her mistake? Either way she starts feeling less disgust and more turned on by the stranger's reaction and is begging for more pictures and more explicit pictures. If the husband knows maybe he encourages her because he likes that his normally shy wife is getting so turned on? Or maybe he's pissed when he finds out she's been sending this stranger more photos?

And in the sequel does the stranger track her down somehow and enter her life for real? Or maybe it's not a random wrong number but it turns out to be someone, she or her husband know?

I hate blackmail stories, but I could do with a story where the man in prompting her, offers her advice that she tries on the husband and it works. His fee for continuing to help her rekindle with her husband is more pictures, or reports on what they've been doing so far, so that he becomes her pervy wing-man.

I'm not trying to punch holes in your idea. Really. Quite the opposite.
But with cell phones, there's no mystery of who your sending texts to or receiving them from.
So how did she send them to an unknown number? 99.9% of folks have our contacts listed by name and even relationship. So, by this logic, she knows the person she sent them to. And they know her.
Maybe it's a simple as she selected Kevin instead of Kenneth.
But the problem is, Kevin isn't a stranger. He's her brother-in-law, or best friends husband, or the young man who mows the lawn.
"Damn, Mrs. Lerner. You look smoking hot in that negligee."
"Oh, Christ, Kevin! I did not mean to send that to you! Delete that right now!"
"Not a chance, Mrs. L. I'm going to keep this forever."
After a long pause. "Why would you keep a photo of an old woman like me?"
After another long pause. "Because, I have dreamed of seeing you like this for years."
Oh my, she thinks.

So how did she send them to an unknown number?
She has never held a corporate job. She doesn't realize that her husband's phone is actually a Company device.

Her hubby had mail forwarding on. The photos went to his executive assistant. She's very turned on and has experience pretending to be him, so Wifey doesn't realize what's up for a while.

(She also deletes the photos, so Hubby never sees them, except potentially in a HEA ending.)

Okay. I'll buy that.

Yeah I struggled coming up with a plausible scenario too.

Same or similar name. Almost works as you described, at least for the initial photo. Maybe she took her glasses off for the photos and confused similar names… But you're right that takes "stranger" off the table.

I like the company phone idea mentioned above.

I have several contacts that have several numbers, some of them being very old. Maybe her husband's contact somehow switches to using an old number that is no longer his but is used by someone else now. I'm not sure how that switch would happen, maybe just that she fat-fingered it somehow. Or maybe some software update had a bug in it?

Maybe someone heard about the pictures and somehow got hold of her phone and changed the husband's phone number to his own?

Or maybe there was an unknown number with an incoming text, some sales pitch. Thinking that she had just been texting with her husband, when she picked up the phone, she just continued the text and didn't verify that she had the right conversation? That's happened before.

I've almost confused SMS messaging with WhatsApp. On an iPhone they both have similar green icons.

A similar but different confusion might be to think she is replying to an existing conversation with her husband because she sees a comment from her husband on the screen and doesn't realize it's part of a group chat. I've made that mistake before myself. But again it's probably not a group chat with her husband and strangers.

But you're absolutely right Kama. I would want it to be plausible.

I have to admit to something that happened that is similar to this story. It was late at night, I was talking to a girl on Messenger, and she asked that I send her a couple of pics to help her complete some personal tasks she was doing, no idea what it could be that Dong pics could help but I agreed. In my tired state, I clicked on a couple I had and hit send. I laid back to doze. Messenger dings a few minutes later and my lifelong best friend's wife, who I had chatted with briefly the day before and who I had known for most of my life, asked me why I sent her dick pics!
I was mortified! I was not a regular on Messenger and was trying to figure out how to delete them. In the meantime, I told her it was an accident, she knows I would never do that intentionally.
Then she said "I've already saved them so don't worry about trying to delete them. They are in my secret folder now and that's where they are staying for my enjoyment. I won't tell anybody, it will be our little secret. Goodnight,"
Needless to say, I was blown away. I couldn't get my shorts down soon enough.

Clicking the wrong contact, possible. Transposing numbers, not likely.

Unless it’s not your husband and it’s a burner phone.

Did she reciprocate? It would only be fair.

Thats a great question. I asked her to make us even and send me something too. She sent me a couple, but not the full monty. Sexy as hell, as I had never seen her before, but not fully unveiled. Just teasing pics, but better than nothing :(

I like that... and I know people who were in a rush to send a text to someone and chose the first "chris" they came to.

(She also deletes the photos, so Hubby never sees them,

Now that's just cruel.

Have the husband recently changed numbers or, maybe he normally has a corporate phone he uses and worrying they might get in trouble gets a burner phone for this very situation, he writes the number on a piece of paper but her kids put a cold drink on it and the condensation turns a 3 into a 9, she gets courage drinking some wine, sends the message, gets a response that seems out of character but is none the less happy she made her husband happy, then she falls asleep and wakes up to a message from his corporate phone that he’s sad he not got his spicy image, she is shocked, confused, realizes she got the burner phone number wrong, tries to get the stranger to delete the photo(s) he refuses unless.. he gets something more explicit, such begins a game of cat and mouse where she finds his coarse crude language titillating her more and more, fearing her husbands devastation she doesn’t tell him and it spirals into an affair.

Would be great if she accidentally sends it to a family member. Her dad or brother for example.

And instead of blackmail, it is an unexpected compliment that triggers something inside her she doesn't know what to do with.

For example, older brother gets it, and responds a day later after not getting any sorrys or "oops", and thinks it was for him, and says: "You are the most beautiful thing God ever created." It floors her because he never talks that way. She knows he means every word. And she doesn't understand why it has this effect on her.

Or Dad gets it and just replied with a heart. Which also leaves her wondering what to do with his responses.

To her horror, Shy Wife gets call from the person she accidentally sent her nudes to, a local Uber driver.

"H-hello?"

"Yeah, so I'm at the bar and my buddies think you're hot."

"Y-you showed them those pics? Why would you do that?!"

Ignoring her questions, the Uber driver replied, "Yeah, my girlfriend thinks you're hot too..."

How about she sends them to the correct phone, but her husband is sharing a room with a coworker who checks to see who sent a text while the husband is in the shower. Coworker is planning to play a prank on the guy who left his phone unlocked, until he sees the first picture.

That could work. The coworker replies, encouraging her to send more.

Or maybe tell her he loves the pictures, but this is the phone he uses at work. Please send more pictures to this other number… And then he gives her his own.

Maybe, being shy, the first picture was fairly tame. He encourages her to send more risqué pictures. She says, "No, I'd be too embarrassed… I barely had the nerve to send that first one - I was only able to because it's long distance and you're not here. I don't think I could look you in the eyes when you got home.”

He tells her, "Please send more pictures. I promised when we're in person I will pretend you didn't and I've never seen them."

I'm always a fan of slippery slopes… An otherwise innocent woman, inch by inch, crossing one line after the other… Never intending it to go any further… until it does.

I like this, or a little more simply that her husband has both her husband's personal and work mobiles in her phone, and in her nervousness she sends the picture to the work phone. Then it can be the same from there, with his assistant being in charge of the phone when hubby isn't directly using it, so she sees it first.

The EA could be man, of course. Most of the ones I've known personally were female, but it's not a requirement and it's not universal.
