My first Hollywood crush, Terri Garr is gone. She died today at the age of 79. She did so many funny roles so sweetly, always tenderly. My favorite role was Young Frankenstein... what knockers... Thank you for the smiles Terri. I'll see you soon.

She was wonderful in this, and every role i saw her in. A friend never understood my love of her until they saw Young Frankenstein and then sent me a message "I get the Teri Garr thing now"
Loved her in Close Encounters too.
Farewell Teri

She was great in Young Frankenstein and Close Encounters and Tootsie, but my first memory of her was in the Star Trek episode Assignment Earth as Roberta Lincoln. There was somethin' about her.

OMG. Im so sad to hear that!! Terri was one of my favorite actors. Those movies mentioned above were all great. Even Mr mom with Michael Keaton. She really turned me on and I had a huge crush on her

And she threatened to walk off over the length of her outfit which was no where near as short as the tunics of the female crew members.

Gotta love the 60s fashions. What's amazing to me is they kept up the minidress uniforms in the 2009 reboot and somehow got away with it. They look ridiculous and totally implausible but there's no denying Zoe Saldana is hot in that short red number with the black boots.

I was about eleven with Close Encounters of the Third Kind came out. I loved it, and had the picture book -- sort of like a comic book, but with actual scenes from the movie. And I still remember thinking then she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.

She's very good in a movie called First Born, where she plays a supporting role of a single mother of two boys who is caught between her sons and her new common law boyfriend who might be good to support the family but might be bad for their well-being.

I remember that, Peter Weller was the creep. A Very sad movie.
