This is just a forum for all the inexperienced (like myself) to ask curious questions about sex and for the experienced to answer. The most recent one I have is the smell of come. How come sometimes it smells like cheese and others it smells like fish? Is that becuase of ovulation or how much I got off and what do others' smell like?

I've never smelled either a cheesy OR fishy smell after I orgasm. Ifyou're smelling those you may very well have some kind of infection. Fresh vaginal secretions have a mild odor.

As the saying goes...you are what you eat. With all the things you eat, there comes, the parts of those things you excrete.

The largest organ of you body is your skin, which excretes waste, stuff your body can't use, via your sweat. Ever wonder why someone might give off the strong odor of garlic? They probably had a large amount the night before.

Anything you eat can effect the odor of the fluids your body excretes.

Then again, there are fluids your body "gets rid of" that as they decompose will give off odors that you may recognize.

Well I do eat fish. Don't eat blue cheese. Also do women come clear or sometimes white?

The mucus secreted by the vagina is clear, unless there is disease. It will turn white, more a froth, from activity of the penis going in and out of the vagina.

Schedule an appointment with your gynecologist. It sounds as if you may have a yeast or bacterial infection.

Your discharge, even after orgasm, should not smell fishy or like cheese. It has nothing to do with your cycle, but rather the presence of yeast, infection or a bacteria.

As for the colour of your discharge, well it depends on a lot of conditions and what you mean by 'white'. After orgasm, it usually is clear with maybe some white flecks. After ovulation, your discharge tends to be thick and white-ish. Pre ovulation, it tends to be dry. But there is a number of factors, such as hydrated you are, your health, any underlying health issues, infections, etc.

If you haven't, as suggested, then make an appointment with a gynaecologist. Yes, I know, you are a virgin. However, your first appointment should be once you turn 18, started having sex or something funky is going on below the belt. As you are on this board, I am assuming that you are 18, plus from your questions, something funky is going on. While we are not doctors, and no doc will give a diagnosis without a physical, what you have described sounds remarkably like an infection, which can be cleared up with a simple prescription.

Do yourself a favour and get it checked out. Your future health may very depend on it.

Agreed. Your doctor will also be able to answer your questions or concerns. She may want to know about your sexual history. Hope everything goes well. :rose:
