Circumcised or natural (foreskin)?

You have posted this all over now, and seem very intent on getting an answer. May I ask why? Why is so important to you?

Probably a member of the "reclaim my foreskin" movement.

(I was circumcized during my infancy, back when everyone figured it contributed to hygiene. Current research indicates that the foreskin retracts back and forth across the shaft during intercourse, creating more stimulation. The last thing I need is more stimulation--I have endurance problems to begin with. So I'm just gonna take it as a blessing that I was cut.)

(The foreskin is synonymous with the clitoral hood in women. If the foreskin can stroke the shaft of the penis, could similar results be achieved with the clitoral hood? Alas, I lack access to specimens of femininity on which to experiment. u_u)

I'm cut, and I don't miss what I don't have, however, circumcision is basically a religious based procedure and has no real foundation in today's society. Given good hygiene, there is no more or less risk of STI's, so without good medical reasoning for circumcision, it is an unnecessary procedure.

And in case you're wondering, a good portion of the European populace is uncut, while a good portion of the American populace is. It's a "regional" and "belief" system that dictates whether infants are left natural or get cut.

I actually have a unique take on this. I had my hood pierced, but it tore out. Didn't hurt, just one day it was gone. It left my hood bisected and no longer coving my clit. I have noticed a decrease in sexual stimulation to my clit during sex. I've actually called a local plastic surgeon about getting it repaired because it makes enough of a difference during sex that I want it fixed.

As a woman, I personally prefer the look and feel of a circumcised cock for both sex and fellatio, but maybe that's just me?? And yes, I have had both........and no, the uncut did not lack for size or girth or anything, he wasn't huge but he was certainly well within average and was a good lover, but for me, uncut is a huge turnoff for me. I sincerely hope I haven't offended anyone........

I have to say, I still think it's cute that he puts 'foreskin' in brackets, just in case we're all morons.

I think we may have another testosterone1, or perhaps his alt? I don't get people who come here totally fixated on just the one subject. No matter how many replies he gets, I'll bet he's still not happy.

The fact that he's included the same link in like every post and it doesn't have much to do with the question makes me think this is semi-disguised spam.

Anyway, if we have a son, he will be left intact. I see absolutely no sense in having part of his penis cut off (unless there's a legitimate medical need). If he wanted to be circumcised when he's old enough to make a good decision for himself, I'd support him in doing so, but it's definitely not our right as parents to make that decision for him (and his future partners). I wouldn't ask for a part of our daughter's genitalia to be removed unnecessarily, either.

I think it's great that more and more Americans are learning about circumcision and deciding to leave the decision up to their sons. In my part of the country, natural is already the norm; from what I've heard, this seems to allay the fear of many that 'uncircumcised=different/weird=our son will be teased.'

Only if he's fool enough to whip it out in front of somebody. I tell you, expecting mercy from children of any age...

I never bothered clicking the link and he posted this on BDSM where I usually lurk too. I'm always a bit skittish about clicking links from posters I don't know and trust to whatever degree we ever trust on these forums. Saw some dodgy stuff when I first joined and decided it wasn't often worth the risk of being grossed out, offended or infected with crap from a dodgy site.

I for one I'm very glad not to have been mutilated at birth. I keep meaning to thank my parents for not letting them do it to me.

The fact that women think uncut dicks are ugly does not come close to making me wish I was cut.

Not even remotely.

Really? You don't know what you would have done if you had some boys mixed in there?

If so, that surprises me.
If I'd had sons, I'm sure I'd love them just as I do my daughters. I'd just be afraid that despite my best efforts, they'd grow up to be the type of man I hate. Maybe it's more about my general dislike (fear?) of men than whether or not I'd be satisfied with a son.

I have 3 boys and a daughter. All the boys were circumcised at when they were born.

I would say for those who are leaving it up to their son and letting it be their decision, I have a friend who is having to have this done...for medical reasons, as an adult. He is scared out of his mind, and wished it had been taken care of as a baby.

I will also say, while I was in Turkey, I was invited to a "party" for a boy who had turned 8 I believe. That is when this was taken care of and a huge celebration then took place. A video was made of the actual procedure and shown at the party...that night. I can tell you, that boy was not happy....it was performed on the kitchen table with all the men around. The women were in the other room crying...you could hear them.

So, I suppose each has their own way to deal with such things.

I've also had both and even though I prefer the tidier appearance of a circumcised cock, I've learnt that a natural one is so much more fun to play with. I love running my tongue under the foreskin and gently pulling on it with my lips. I also enjoy playing peekaboo with it.

Women don't think uncut cocks are ugly. Teenaged girls are most likely to be grossed out and then it depends on location. In the UK, there has never been a time when circumcision was performed as a matter of course or more often than leaving boys natural. It also seems that in the USA, popular opinion is swinging back to leaving boys uncut unless there is a religious/cultural/medical reason. I don't know what NZ is like but you really shouldn't be self-conscious about having an uncut dick.

And if your friend didn't have a medical issue? Would he still be wishing he was cut? I just can't imagine cutting all boys in case a few might have had problems later on. Also, he is presumably going to the hospital for a local/general anaesthetic and proper medical care. I see no parallel between your friend and that unfortunate 8 yr old boy.

I do think that circumcision in those circumstances is so barbaric. To cut a baby like that on a kitchen table with no pain relief is bad enough but an 8 yr old? Why was it done at 8 yrs old? Is cutting 8 yr olds common in Turkey? It seems an odd age to set as a precedent or rite of passage.

I dont know if he would still do it or not, but he does have to...and yes even though it is in a hospital and care is taken...he is still an adult and scared out of his mind.

As far as the 8 year old boy....yes..it is very much a religious thing...all the boys go through it. Right of passage as it were..... (they possibly give some sort of alchol sponge to such on...I did see that....)..

A tiny portion of uncircumcised men have problems with their foreskin. Of that small percentage, something like 95% of the problems can be resolved through nonsurgical means (usually stretching and a steroid cream to thin the problematic skin a bit so it's not painfully tight, which seems to be the most common issue). Minor surgical procedures that are often performed in the doctor's office with local anesthetic solve the majority of the problems that aren't fixed with nonsurgical methods.

So, the number of men who actually end up needing circumcision as teens/adults is very, very tiny. It should always be the option of last resort, although some of the less informed and ethical doctors recommend it as a first or second option because they're ignorant of other treatments or into padding their pockets with surgical procedures.

It seems like the men who have spoken here about having circumcision done as adults kind of rushed into it or had it done for cosmetic reasons in addition to having a tightness problem or something. And, yes, most of them complain or worry about the post-op pain, but that's kind of the price they pay when they opt to have surgery on a sensitive area.

The number of men who need (or even opt) to be circumcised as adults is FAR less than the number of men who wish they weren't circumcised, are anti-genital mutilation, would like to feel the pleasure of a natural cock, are trying to restore their foreskin, etc.

Basically, having a large, sensitive part of a child's genitals cut off because they *might* need or want to have it done as an adult and that could be more painful is ridiculous. We don't remove every child's tonsils or appendix because they might be problematic later on and it can more painful to have those surgeries as an adult. So why remove foreskin?

I agree that women in general don't think natural cock are ugly/gross, BUT we've certainly had our fair share of (probably mostly American) women here who have expressed a distaste for them and/or a strong preference for circumcised cocks.

I think it's wonderful that you have such a wonderful, healthy attitude about it, Human male! :)
