It is Act 1. And, as act One, it is longer than the entire stage play, with intermission. I have issues with that part, as a naked cash grab. So if I see it, I will probably wait until Part 2: Munchkin Bugaloo comes out.

Also, I did not like the novel, I was okay with the play, I really enjoyed the OCR.

Yes. Act one. They couldn't have done the entire show in one movie well. Stage to screen translates differently. The music, the sets, the costuming, the choreography... aahhh.

If they had done the whole thing as one movie, they would have had to cut songs which I would have had bigger issues with. OCR is obviously fantastic. Who doesn't love it?! The stage production is different enough from the book I think to be considered it's own thing.
