The best solution for a soft top is get a hard top… soft tops never seal they are effected too much by the weather.. too cold they shrink and too hot they expand… they never actually fit correctly

Well that's not helpful hard tops are pricey!

My experiences with jeeps.
I’ve owned about 26 cars in my lifetime. I think I had 3 jeeps. They can be reliable. But some of them are just fickle bastards. 2 of my 3 were so… good luck

Jeeps can be great… if used correctly… strictly off road… beat the shit out of it… and don’t expect it to start or run the next day… fix it for a week… rinse repeat.

Just leave Starbucks out of it. Got ya

I drove a JK Wrangler for 10 years. It was very reliable. Except when it wasn't. I put 3 starters in that thing (its fortunate that I could still push start it). And it had a picky clutch that seemed to get worse (I always thought it would "work in"). It never got stuck here in the Land of the Horizontal Snow.

But that whine in 4L sounded just like Grandpa's '52 Willys. SO yeah. Not worthless.

Okay bitches…fine. I drive a Jeep Cherokee as my daily… but if I needed a solid off road vehicle and a solid daily driver? It would be another K10… and a hot small block Chevy… and yes, I could build that myself, and would do it in a skirt, welding and all.

Yeah, Ford has been having several issues with their smaller turbo motors lately. I think the 3.5 is still alright, but those 4 bangers are really hit or miss.

i dont remember, probably an 89-90 or something? it was 97-98...i was a senior in high school. took my dads car to visit friends. stopped at starbucks first. was in line when someone came in and said someone's car was on fire. sure enough it was the jeep. burned through the fire wall. totaled.

My hot rod is technically a Ford (a Mercury)… but their philosophy of little motors makes me want to puke. Give me a big engine not working hard over a little engine running it’s ass off every time it drives any day.

Not that I know about such things, you understand.
