High school sweethearts in a town just big enough for a community college. Everyone just knows their going to get married. He pops the question two years after school but she gets cold feet and takes off to the big city to see the world and he's almost devastated...almost.

The story tracks both their lives. Hers as a fast paced, up and coming success. His as a slow and steady, heart on his sleeve good guy that everyone likes and he still pines for a lost love.

She breaks hearts and doesn't take romance seriously. He tries to keep looking but can't find what he once had.

After a series of horrible events that culminated with her heart breaks piling up to be her downfall, she shows up back in that small town after a brief sabbatical, wiser and warier.

When they finally begin to take each other seriously again, their first intimate night together he states that he is not letting her go again without a fight and if she doesn't want this, she needs to stop and leave right then.

She finds out what she missed out on while he was becoming the deep rich soul he is now and realizes she wasted so much time looking for what she already had and threw away. He, in turn, was validated in his belief that their relationship always was the pinnacle of his love and that they were put in that town together for a reason.

It has a kind of Forrest Gump feel to it, but it's a decent plot. Are you going to write it?

It's a romance. Unless I'm missing something, there's nothing erotic in it.
