Anonymous comments on email

Hi all, anyone know how to stop anonymous emails coming in? I want comments but for some weird reason, some pitiful trolls feel the need to respond by email and not even about a particular story. Just dickheads that like being dickheads all their sad lives. thank you.

Setup a filter in your email, or set it to an email that you don't monitor.

Accepting anonymous feedback greatly increases the amount of feedback you will get on submissions, because many readers choose not register for the site.

Ugh, trolls are the worst. Maybe disable email notifications or set up a filter to auto-delete anything anonymous. Or just block ‘em and let their sad little emails rot in the void. Keep writing, don’t let the dickheads win.

I have had that setting for over two years and had no problems. Unfortunately it seems that emails do come through as i received one from an anonymous reader from the site. I always thought that a reader was forced to give a return addy too but this didn't happen. I am only saying this because I personally do not want to be inundated by the nastier side of this site.

Yep! I had a rash of them a while ago. I also noticed that if you set on top of a category with a hot story or if you win, place, or show in a contest it gets worst. It can be a reminder how well you're doing or a reminder that the lowest common denominator is still out there.
