Any Canadians around? part 2

Ontario is definitely not the place to be. Trust me. Haha

Haha, fair enough. It just seems to show up on here more than other provinces.

That being said, I spent the last week of November in the Guelph area, and I’m really thinking about moving that way. Is it as nice as it seems?

Guelph is a nice city. I don't think I've seen it mentioned on Lit before.

SW Ontario here. The schizophrenic weather will drive you nuts. Thunderstorms Sunday, and snow right now. Riddle me that, Batman.

Haha, I find it hard to believe that the weather is any more unpredictable than central Alberta, either way I can deal with it!

Do the Chinooks affect the red deer area too? I've not spent that much time there.. just gasoline Alley for coffee and donuts mill

Yeah man, it’s aweskme when they do, haha. Can’t really complain about winter so far though, sure it started in September, but it’s been easy so far.

I was born in the Maritimes, and then lived in Manitoba for far too long..... I like winter. I think it's all the frost bite getting to my brain.. but, I don't like the chinooks. I'd rather it stay cold. The random warm days from chinooks throw me off, and I've lived here 10 years now.

I can see that, seems like everyone in the province gets sick the day after a chinook too, lol. I was born and in BC, lived all over the country then spent about 10 years in New Brunswick before coming out here 5 years ago.

Yeah I had a similar life, my father was a marine engineer though, chasing work coast to coast.

I love NB, I have a house just outside of Saint John and hope that eventually there’s some work there so I can move back, lol.

I grew up just south of Guelph in Puslinch, went to Guelph for high school.
It was a nice area to grow up, my parents still live in the same house.

Nice.i loved living in Halifax, more than anywhere else. I'd pack up and move there in a heartbeat with a job offer.

That's because Guelph was a shithole in the 80's, carried the shithole banner in the 90's, and proudly carried it's shithole banner well into the 2000's.
If Ohio could be distilled into an Ontario town pretending to be a city, it would be Guelph ON.

Little known fact, mobsters created the City Of Guelph. They never thought alcohol & cigarettes would go out of fashion.

Are you still here? Still haven't posted anything with your voice yet?

I'm curious, prove me wrong.
