OK, so while I am working on finding accommodation for everyone, won't we post about what sort of demos we are wanting to offer for Saturday night. I know we are wanting a roping demo, possibly even a rope off between Mr Geoff and Mr Hommie if both are able to attend. What else are we wanting to see that night? I know there had been rumors of a 'caning of the bunny'. Is that still on the table? What would everyone want to see and witness?

Assuming I can attend, I will be happy to tie. Barring the facilities being amazingly odd for an hotel (ie exposed serious support beams in the ceiling), suspension is out of the question. Floorwork becomes the order of the day.

As to other activities, I am very open as to what I see. I would love some to see some fireplay, as it is one activity I've no experience with, and would love to pick up some instruction on.

I would love love love to see a fire demo but since it will be in a hotel room with lots of soft surfaces I think that would be out of the question. I really don't want to have to explain to the AFD and APD why the suite caught fire. Ya know?

Depends on the fireplay.

Ditto Homburg's comment. Anyone who does anything more than momentary fireplay without having made "arrangements" for inadvertent happenings is ... careless, at the least. (Arrangements = supply of water {bucket, whatever}, wet towel{s}, etc.) I would never do anything more than a couple of minutes' worth of fireplay, and nothing involving flashcotton or more than small quantities of alcohol, without being prepared. I've only once needed to use a wet towel, but was very happy I had it ready... and that was more than enough to make me make that a "hard limit" for any kind of extended fireplay (e.g., a demo or a full fire session). (LOL - The time I needed the towel was when I was doing some "testing" on me and caught the hair on my leg on fire )

Let me quote from Vanilla-not's site regarding safety precautions:

This is an inherently dangerous practice and SHOULD BE PRACTICED MANY MANY TIMES on glass tables tops and other non-flammable objects before being considered for actual practice. Both the Dom and the submissive you see performing here today have practiced Their/their techniques, yes the Dom has required the submissive practice doing this also, for a long time before doing it even on themselves and only after this did they do it on each Other/other.


Safety Materials
Alcohol Type: Use only 50% or 70% alcohol. 70% is more difficult to control and burns hotter.

colour me corrected then. I just felt that since this is not my home- instead property we are renting (so to speak) if something were to happen to catch fire, I didn't want to have to foot the repair bill.

Hey, I've been to one, just one litogether and I had my husband with me for that one.

Was I worried about it and intimidated? Yep. The people that came were as nice as could be and NO ONE was pushy at all. I didn't do anything that I didn't want to do.

What I wanted to do wasn't much and did not involved nudity at all. I'm a very buttoned up little girl in that respect. I did get to try EG's violet wands! JOY!
