Attempt at Boudoir

I shot a set and none of them seemed good. the angle was wrong or the light or who know what else. but every shot seems like its almost not too bad. and its too bad. these were many years ago

You failed at the very definition of the word boudoir. The definition is "a beautifully decorated room used in the past by a woman for sleeping, dressing, relaxing, and entertaining". Just look at the mess in your room, filthy floor etc and you know the answer to why your pictures do not look good.

First, I’d suggest reading up on what boudoir photos entail and looking at some examples. Then, I’d suggest searching for some of the boudoir photography practical tips that @MindYaBitness has posted in the Chaos: Don’t Stress, Undress thread! @JustAnotherFlower has some great lighting tips in the same thread too.

I’m no expert, but boudoir is all about seduction. It’s setting a mood with decor, lighting, pose, angle, revealing and concealing just the right amount to get the viewer’s imagination racing and wanting more.

I first took an online class, then one in person. I hope to become more skilled with editing. Just keep practicing, watch YouTube tutorials, follow boudoir photographers on Pinterest & Insta. You'll get the hang of it, it just takes time
