Avatar: Lightning strikes (OOC)

(Sorry that took me so long. I couldn't figure out where to set the thing. Eventually, I settled on the little town Iroh and Zuko hid out in in "The Swamp.")

Gahhhh.
Now I feel like you guys are hurrying so I'll make the Azula post.

Damn. There goes my time-buyer.
I'll ponder something up tonight and hopefully get it up tomorrow afternoon.

I think that post'll be a bit too much to do via cell phone from bed.

Nononononono.

I'm hurrying from a combination of guilt and trying to get my Muse all woke up after a long winter's nap.

You take whatever time you need, sweets, seriously!

I'll try to get something up soon.
I just... still have to remember where the hell I was sending her.

*Gives a blank stare at Eazy*

S'ok.
Just a lot faster on pickup with that than I really expected.

I'll probably edit post I just made a bit... Had something come to mind that I wanted to get out there, but also wanted to check w/ Eazy on if Azula's already come across his fella's group or still waiting to cross paths.

:: sheepish :: You're probably right. About the bunnies.

But you know? This story is just so... grown-up and realistic in so many other respects that it seemed odd not to have that be a concern for her. Also, it's something I've panicked about a lot in my own life, when I was younger, so I was kind of... writing what I knew.

Anyway, I think I've thought of something to keep the angle covered. :: grins :: Though based on her reaction to the Waterbending clean-up, I'm sure she wouldn't mind a little more of that.

*nods* I hear what you're saying about the thread being more grown up and realistic in many respects. So don't worry, Ryota's not going to be flinging his 'water' at just any girl in this game.

At the same time? I am glad we got to do that scene earlier. Not just because it was lots of fun to write (which it was, heheh), but like we talked about before, it takes them out of the "will they/won't they' dynamic and more into a "they did it, but what now?" area. It's a nice bit of variety from the usual type of angsty relationships.

In either case, if the need ever arises, Ryota's always open to doing a little Waterbending clean-up. You know, just to be on the safe side.

Hah! I was chest choking, uh, just joking. :: ahem :: (Lil' obscure Kon-El reference for ya.)

I'm not sure how the rules work, but I'm pretty sure Xia's existence signifies that the rules are changing to make sure the Avatar Cycle doesn't get broken. Spirits of Airbenders are migrating back to The World and being born in other Nations, of which Xia's maybe just the first to be discovered. (Maybe she's the only one born so far, I dunno.)

So Xia wouldn't necessarily have to be with Aang in order to do the whole, uh, "Adam and Eve" thing. Granted, the characters may not have an understanding of this and that might be a topic to awkwardly address in future, as the drama warrants. I'm just sayin', Ryota's got nothing to worry about on that front.

That line is so familiar. Wasn't that from the first time he came across the current Supergirl at the time? If not, then I'm guessing Young Justice period, but can't pinpoint where. Of course, that Supergirl encounter where he was staring at her chest does make me wonder how he would have reacted to blatant cleavage girl (or as she's commonly known, Power Girl) at the time.

And I don't know, we'll have to see what happens after she's left alone with the hunky bald monk long enough. *smirks*

But I actually figured that would be the case when it came to the topic of repopulating the Air Nomads in our version of the Avatar world. I guess Ryota's just gonna have to deal with the fact that his potential future wife and their hypothetical kids are going to be flying all over the house.

Tch. Yeah, right.

I'm sure someone'll get to it eventually.

Don't worry, I've moved onto bugging Unseen for new posts. Thing is, she's sorta used to my bitching, so is fairly good at ignoring my poking her to quicker responses. Not that this will stop me, of course.

And I don't think you could write a 'crud' post if you tried.

*pinches Eazy's cheeks*aww well aren't you just the cutest little thing

Enn'ee just? :: rumples E's hair ::

I say we keep 'im!

and oh yes... let's *grins maliciously*

......threesome?

Hey, a guy can dream!

Oh, neat! It's in post-production!

My bad, I thought they got dropped from their studio, that was the end of it!

YAY!

Same here, actually. I'm glad to hear they're going to give it at least one more movie adaptation with this cast.

S'ok.

Pft, I'd been suggesting that she already crossed their paths over PMs and on here but you never gave me a clear answer on if you were fine with that or not. In the future I'll just tell you what to do with your characters. :p

Hey, you're lucky I remember how to log into Lit, with the way my memory's been going the last few weeks.

I've driven right past my own house about 6 times in the last 2 days.
Me: "Dammit. I'm... um... backing in."
Him: "From three houses up?"
Me: "Shut the fuck up."

I'm fine with them having already met.... Could say she's waiting to meet up with them at the statue remains now, if you want.

Zhuang's gonna be pissed they broke the statue.

As a kid with a future in sculpting, he held that thing in awe.

On the bright side, Azula's now potentially got someone on her team who can fix it up good.

*nods* I hear what you're saying about the thread being more grown up and realistic in many respects. So don't worry, Ryota's not going to be flinging his 'water' at just any girl in this game.

:: grins :: Attalad.

Not only that, :: sweatdrop :: but it may well be the only love scene we've actually finished together.

Inordinately fun to write, and complete unto itself! Who could ask for more?

But, yes, I do rather enjoy the sweet awkwardness of where they find themselves, far more than I would have enjoyed a protracted bit of... I dunno, dancing around the issue.

In either case, if the need ever arises, Ryota's always open to doing a little Waterbending clean-up. You know, just to be on the safe side.

Better to be safe than sorry, I always say. (Xia's nodding vigourously back here.)

Yep! Hah! Got it in one!

Yeah, that was his first encounter with my favourite of the Supergirls, "Mae."

And, yeah, I imagine his reaction to Karen would have been without price. (At least going by his reaction to The Mighty Endowed during the "YJ" years.)

And I don't know, we'll have to see what happens after she's left alone with the hunky bald monk long enough. *smirks*

:: blinks :: Hay, you're right, he is kind of hunky now.

:: sultry smirk ::

:: slow sly sidelong glance ::

:: pauses, smacks self in the forehead :: No, wait, I'm playing Katara, got that angle covered.

But I actually figured that would be the case when it came to the topic of repopulating the Air Nomads in our version of the Avatar world. I guess Ryota's just gonna have to deal with the fact that his potential future wife and their hypothetical kids are going to be flying all over the house.

I just had a happy "Incredibles" flashback.

:: cheerful sigh ::

And I don't think you could write a 'crud' post if you tried.

Oh, man, thank you, that's a huge compliment. (You either, really.)

Unfortunately, I really do still feel off my game...

At least it's not showing as much as I think it might be.

......threesome?

Hey, a guy can dream!

:: quirks an eyebrow, smirks again, shakes her head, doesn't say "yes," but doesn't say "no" ::

Same here, actually. I'm glad to hear they're going to give it at least one more movie adaptation with this cast.

Agreed.

If for no other reason than it means "Magician's Nephew" is that much closer to getting made.

I wanna see Jadis' homeworld, dammit. I wanna see The Lamp-Post sprout like a weed, I wanna SEE DIGORY KIRKE AS A KID, and most of all, I want to see The Wood Between The Worlds.

And I promise not to make all sorts of "Green Lantern" MST3K riffs in the theatre when Uncle Andrew is bantering about green and yellow rings.

Well that took a lot longer then I thought it would.

Let me know if there are any problems, especially on my antagonists side of the post (think I more or less remembered where we were going with this stuff, but...), and I'll try editing when possible.

I know how you feel.... it takes practice and time to get back in the swing of things

*grins* actually some of the scenes I've always wanted to see come to life sound pretty mundane now..... like the revealing of the crawlspace through everyone's attic. (the notion has always enchanted me.... maybe because I've never had an attic.... or lived in a row of old townhouses like that.... I'm sure it's very ordinary and unmentionable to those who have) ..... and Digory's mum biting into the apple.... and that moment when Polly and Digory first met... and when the first king and queen of Narnia were crowned...

I also would like to see Jadis riding the top of the hansom cab like a madwoman XD

Hmm Ty Lee and The Duke? Ty Luke? If some people were complaining about the two year age difference between Aang and Katara, I can just imagine their reactions if that was ever hinted at in canon.

Age ain't nothin' but a numero.

Can you imagine how cute their kids would be?

These are all incredible things to wish to see. Mundane, nothin'.

I lived in townhouses like that once, when I was like... two or three. I don't remember ever venturing into the crawlspace but I remember that our backyards were all linked...

But that was a long time ago and in another country.

Oh, man, planting the apple that grows into the tree that makes The Wardrobe. Mundane, mundane, yeah. But I've actually seen that Wardrobe in real life, the original Wardrobe, C.S. Lewis' Wardrobe, I've seen it. Seeing the thing itself was great, but seeing the tree get planted that would become The Wardrobe...

Uh.

:: sheepish ::

Overgeek, sorry.

Oh!.. I meant to mention... If anyone in the palace wants to randomly start a conversation with Ty Lee.... feel free to do so.

I meant to put her in there at the end of my post but in the end I couldn't figure out how to write the transition without it sounding broken and awkward.

So ...yeah.

I have a million characters but no-one in the palace.

o_O

...that's a strange feeling.

See, now you have me thinking of our conversation (well, more like me bugging you) about Ty Lee taking The Duke into a bedroom and welcoming him into manhood Fire Nation style.

Yes, I know it'll never happen, but leave me to my fantasies, dang it.

I actually was gonna put this up spouting about how it's an awesome Smellerbee theme at the moment BUT then I realized it could actually apply to alot of characters in the rp so yeah.... >_>

New Divide by Linkin Park
I remembered black skies, the lightning all around me
I remembered each flash as time began to blur
Like a startling sign that fate had finally found me
And your voice was all I heard that I get what I deserve

So give me reason to prove me wrong, to wash this memory clean
Let the floods cross the distance in your eyes
Give me reason to fill this hole, connect the space between
Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies across this new divide

There was nothing in sight but memories left abandoned
There was nowhere to hide, the ashes fell like snow
And the ground caved in between where we were standing
And your voice was all I heard that I get what I deserve

So give me reason to prove me wrong, to wash this memory clean
Let the floods cross the distance in your eyes across this new divide

In every loss, in every lie, in every truth that you'd deny
And each regret and each goodbye was a mistake too great to hide
And your voice was all I heard that I get what I deserve

So give me reason to prove me wrong, to wash this memory clean
Let the floods cross the distance in your eyes
Give me reason to fill this hole, connect the space between
Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies across this new divide
Across this new divide, across this new divide

Actually, the elemental metaphors are so thick and fast in this, I'd be astonished if someone hadn't made an "ATLA" fanvid for this song already.

I never noticed that.

The lightning... "ashes fell like snow"...

...floods...

Wow.

If I knew the first thing about video-editing, I'd take up that torch meself.
