You remind me Nikki of a decision we made when our kids were the age of your kids: They would know that their mum and dad enjoyed each other in their bedroom; they would know that it could get noisy; they'd be assured that it was cuz we love each other; they'd get the idea that this is how we made them; we had some absolute rules about how they could get our attention if really necessary when our bedroom door was shut. [For us, a lock came later, as we wanted them to know when they were still little that if they really had to come to get us it would be possible].

We extended that approach to house guests. Younger couples staying over, I have a word with the guy assuring him that if they would like anytime to be private in our guest room please feel free "and we won't be listening." It was so good to say that to a godson of mine who came to stay with his wife of just a few weeks. When guests have been given that invitation, it follows through that we have the same freedom.

Sex "hush hush" between partners in their own home? - OUT the window with that idea!

While I agree with this overall... Two of the guests happen to be the in-laws... Hahaha We definitely don't abstain... But the kid in me just can't bring herself to scream out "Oh my fucking God YES!" with them in the house... No matter how deaf they pretend to be.

Also, with family in town it's been difficult finding time. She'll hopefully get on here soon. She also went to her last "in classroom" class for her master's degree last night. It's a hell of an achievement!

Mike I agree it's a he'll of an achievement gaining a masters with a family and a job to hold down. I have huge respect for Nikki being able to do that. Mike you play no small part either. It takes a lot of time and you have to help carry the load too. Its a team game after all. Well done !

It's an MS in Operations Management. I'm so glad to be done. Now time for me to return the favor to Mike as he resumes his own degree.
