Wheeeeee!

What a fun night.

Around 7:30, I decided to take my mare out for a short ride. Lovely night, a little on the warm side but comfortable enough for an easy stroll. While riding down my compacted gravel driveway (read: hard as asphalt) back to my barn, my horse spooked at a bird flying out of a bush. Well, she didn't do much, just sidestepped and kinda jerked a little in surprise. Being the wonderful rider I am (8 years professional training 3 day eventing), was I prepared for her to sidestep? Of course not. Down I go. On my Head. Without a helmet.

So here I sit, nursing a concussion and a jaw that's out of whack. If I feel crappy tomorrow, to the doctor I go, wooo!

In all seriousness, I should be fine. Am not looking forward to the headache and aching jaw tomorrow though!
