I just looked up the lyrics, and I agree it would make for a decent erotic story. Two people, kinda down and out meet in a bar. They chat at the bar, pretty buzzed and depressed. They commiserate and take solace in each others company, appreciating being able to have someone to chat with with no judgement. But at the end of the night, they leave alone.
Two nights later, they are surprised when they run into each other again at a laundromat, not far from the bar. They realize that they probably both live rather close. They start chatting, sober this time and they begin to realize there is some attraction there, things in common besides their miserable love-lives.
And then there's the doubt that creeps in, the shattered self-confidences that make them pull back and not take that leap.
Only when they run into one another at the grocery store. The classic frozen food section meet up. They look in each others cart to see a stack of frozen single meals in both carts. Maybe this is providence they begin to think, maybe the sun is rising again.
That night they share a pair of Marie Callender's frozen meals, and a bottle of wine, and then a bed, and then breakfast.
