(fine, I will do it myself)

Gary sighed as he came home. A package of groceries and other things were in his arms. He opened the door, as sounds of grunting and screaming came through. He might have guessed his room mate had finally got some, if it weren't for the fact that he only went outside to work and rent movies.
Sure enough, the televison blared some new porn. She was screaming from the floor, and two guys were enjoying themselves.
"Can you turn that off please?" Gary placed the sacks down in the kitchen.
"Come on, this is a classic."
Gary's eyes furrowed, "Classic porn?"
"Debbie does Dallas 2000," Rick smiled his eyes glared to the porn.
"Did you get the movie I asked for?"
Something was thrown through the kitchen archway, Gary grabbed it as nearly hit the floor.
"Careful now, this is a classic."
The woman screamed an erupting orgasm. It peaked his interest somewhat. Ricky laughed in the other room.
"Evil Dead 2? A classic? Come on."
Gary walked right into the living room, ejecting the current movie.
"Look, it's not the best of horror movies," inside his own mind he was about to argue the situation with himself, but he would rather save it for later, "But it does have a good plot, and it's perfect for this."
He tossed Ricky a remote. It was unlike any remot he had ever seen before. Gary dropped the porn, quite deliberately on the ground, and then popped in the movie.
"What is it?" Ricky looked at the thing from all sides.
"You know the movie Last Action hero?"
"The one where that kid could go into the movie?"
"Right, how about Remote Control?"
"Oh, yeah, John Ritter could go into the t.v. He got to see all of those devil shows."
"Yeah, well this remote does just that," he shook his head expectantly, "Except this time we can do it cool."
"Hey," Rick protested, "Last Action Hero was a cool movie."
Gary tried to hold in the laughter as best he could.
"Well," he changed the subject, "Let's get started. Are you coming?"
Ricky mumbled something, "We aren't going to get killed are we?"
"Don't worry, I have seen this movie before. As long as we stick by Bruce Campbell, we will be fine."
"Bruce who?"
Gary rolled his eyes, and pressed the button.

The back of the car felt crowded, and stale. The window's had been rolled up, and made the air inside very old. Gary looked at Ricky skeptically. Rick was simply looking at the inside of the car with great interest.
"So, is this a 1974 Plymouth Duster, isn't it?"
Gary looked at the man, "How do you know that?"
Rick smiled, "I know my cars."
Ash spoke up from the front seat, "It's a 73 actually. A slant 6."
"225 horsepower, beautiful muscle car."
Ash looked back at Rick, and then over at Gary, "I like your friend, I'm glad you brought him."
Gary rolled his eyes, "Look," he whispered to Rick, "We didn't come here to talk about cars, we came here to enjoy the movie."
Rick gave him a sneer look, but relented.
"So, Bru... uhhh, Ash, how exactly do you know this place?"
Ash shifted slightly in his seat, "A few friends showed me it a few months ago. I thought I might bring my special girl over here, and check it out with her."
The woman smiled nicely as she looked at the other two in the car.
"How you doin?" Rick said.
Gary leaned over and whispered, "Careful, she's the first to die."
Rick nodded, looking out the window.
"That is a huge drop."
They were over the bridge now. Gary looked down. It was a huge drop, bigger than he imagined. Rocks and big things were at the bottom.
"We are close now," Ash commented.
"There's no turning back," Gary looked at the bridge, fading behind them. Ahead, coming from behind a groce of trees was the house. The house where it all happened. A lump was in his throat. The same house he had nightmares about. It was such an ugly old house, a perfect place for a scary movie.
"Sweet," Rick got out of the car, he looked at the surrounding forest.
"This is almost scary in the day time."
Gary nodded, he could just picture it without the light. Such a horrid place. Ash and his girl had already made it inside.
"Rick, come on, it'll be dark soon."
Rick paused, looking around, "Is the evil dead stuff already alive?"
Gary paused for a moment, "Ummm... no. They have to turn on this recorder thing they find in the basement first. Then bad things start to happen."
"We couldn't possibly stop that from happening, could we?"
Gary cocked his head to the side, "Then what was the point of coming in here?"
Rick did look scared. Gary couldn't believe it.
"You little shit."
"I am not scared."
"Yeah, sure," Gary walked inside.
"I am not," Rick ran into the house. Ash and his girl were talking on the couch. They looked at Rick unusually.
"Can I talk to you for a minute outside?" Gary pulled him out.
"Look, we can't talk about the movie to any of the characters, ok. We can't even acknowledge to them what is going to happen. Otherwise, it ruins the whole point."
Rick's eyes wanted to argue, but they lamented. He sighed, walking back inside.
"So," Gary walked in with him, "Who's up for some smore."
Night was beginning to fall outside.

"OK... so why are we in here?"
Gary was listening through the door, "Because, they need some alone time."
"Why do they need some alone time?" Ricky jumped on the bed exhausted.
"Because, she's going to die soon. He might as well have a few kisses or something."
Rick smiled, "You mean they're gonna do it."
Gary shook his head, "Not enough time."
"That still doesn't explain why we're in the bedroom."
Gary turned back to him, "Simple. When Ash finds the recorder in the basement he's going to sit by the fire and turn it on. She will be in this room changing when he goes and does that. This way we find out exactly when the scary part starts."
Rick sighed, "What's the point of being in a movie if nothing scary happens."
Just then something scraped by the window. Both of them looked, startled. Outside the wind was starting to pick up, many trees swayed and moved in an irratic fashion. Gary got up slowly, looking at the window in almost pure horror.
Ricky finally understood what was going on.
"Are you sure he goes into the basement to..."
He didn't finish, they were both out of the room in a blast. Gary saw Bruce over a recorder. The girl was combing her hair in the window. Gary watched the recorder play. All of the sudden he had second thoughts about this. Being in a scary movie wasn't exaclty what he wanted at this point and time. Why couldn't they have started with Bambi or something.
"Something wrong?" Ash asked.
Gary snapped out of his train of thought, "Yeah, just fine. Where did you find that?"
Ash shrugged his shoulders, "It was on the desk, I simply turned it on."
It was already to the part of the translation.
"Ok, ok, calm down," he turned it off, "Look, there's something I should tell..."
The window smashed. Ricky jumped. It would have been comical if the fact that now Gary really was scared. He watched as the woman held her head, almost hugging herself. Ash moved over to her. Rick went to do the same.
"No," Gary said, he grabbed Rick before he was close enough.
"She's one of them now."
"Nonsense," he said, but he didn't make a motion to get any closer. Gary started looking around. What was it that he used to chop her head off? Oh yes, in the corner was an axe. Gary moved instinctively as Ash began screaming about his girlfriend. Ricky looked awestruck. Gary handed the axe to him, hilt first.
Ash chopped her head off.
"Come on,"Gary felt a sigh of relief hit him for a while, "We've got some digging to do."
"Digging?"
Gary shook his head, "Just stay here."
He put his hand on Ash's shoulder.
"She was one of them, you had to do it."
Ash nodded.
"Come on, let's bury her so she won't come back to kill... I mean so she gets a decent home."
Ash nodded again. He helped pick up the body.
