Finding a Dom mentor

I am pretty new to the BDSM world but I want to be the best Dom I can be for my sub.
P (my sub) has had Dom's before but had some bad experiences as they turned out to be bullies. I encourage her to talk to me so I can get to know her intimately but I think this is sometimes difficult as not only does she have some bad experiences but we are a couple who are very much in love and I think she doesn't want me judging her, which I never would and love hearing all about her kinks and fantasies whatever they are. I would really like some friends in the lifestyle to get their opinions and experiences, whether that is someone who can be my mentor or just a friend to chat to about this stuff.
