I deleted my account several weeks ago and haven’t looked back. Wondering if BlueSky will get the momentum to replace Meta for many. That would be amazing.

I seek out positions and people who make me angry. Removing them from my view could possibly be in service to myself....but I need to know what people I disagree with are saying. Twitter is currently that place (here works also)

Maybe it's just me, but I position myself in places like that to help me understand my own position ...I have no desire to remove twitter and my small contribution to Leon's wallet won't matter either way.

I still see plenty on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. Twitter/X felt too much like a cesspool, not remotely like an opportunity to engage with others with different opinions, imo. My curiousity about what Musk may or may not do will be answered in the other platforms as people will share it everywhere.

If I get to the point where I want to insulate myself completely, it will be just BlueSky.

BlueSky allows you to see what you want ..I do enjoy it. If you want to find conservative or MAGA content there, it's available. But you decide to see it

The thing I don't like about this forum is that users create new usernames every time they are banned and then I have to curate again.
