Fucking Corona Shopping Spree

Damn it. If only the midwest had hurricanes. Tornadoes just don't give you the same level of preparation.

And if your house pummeled to the ground, your stockpile of TP likely isn't going to make it or be much of a concern.

Anytime you see a reference of "fake news" offered as a serious belief, you're only in good company if you are a Trumper. If so, fine for you. I see it as a reason to read no further.

So...FOX is not fake news. Good to know. :)

Knowing what we know now it the media no sold this like the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. They knew more than they were letting on and let us think this was just a mildly out of control flu. I don't see where everybody is getting this whole "media blew it out of proportion" when they didn't. They gave it a lot of coverage but literally what the fuck else was going on for them to cover? Bernie holding out to debate tomorrow which they have also made more than ample time to talk about? Other than that this is the only story right now.

Oh, I'm Canadian and see Trump as a good reason to laugh daily. I have to open the paper to get my funnies. You guys just have to turn on the news. I'm totally jealous. You get the funnies read to you.

All you need to understand is Fox news is "fake news", and everyone else, CBC included is "fake news'.

Fox News uses "alternate facts" and the rest including the CBC or CTV or Global only use "facts"

See how simple it is?

I would like to think you'd be less concerned with American politics & more concerned with the fact the last time a team from Canada won the Stanley Cup was 1993.

Yes the Montreal Canadiens (24th cup win) as I recall. Which has what to do about nothing?

Lol, not all Canadian live and breathe hockey. I personally think it's too aggressive a sport, but that's just me. The only time I get really into hockey is during the Olympics when the Canadiens women beat the American women's asses.

The last time Canada beat the United States in women's Olympic hockey was 2014.

The last time the United States beat Canada in women's Olympic hockey was 2018.

The US women won the 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship (Canada finished third).

Fun fact....The United States is the only thing keeping the Russians or the Chinese from annexing Canada.

Really? Maybe we should just invite Russia to set up base's here? Rent Putin some space? You want Nukes that could be launched at Washington before you could even react??

I love it when the uninformed use the "logic" Canada is "under" the protect of the USA.

Honestly I thought Alaska was there to protect you, you were there to protect us. Like an enormous speed bump filled with moose. Mooses. Meese? Holy fuck what happens if more than one moose is in the same place or do they just wait until our brains shut down because they are unable to process it?

All joking aside I'm trying to figure what the fuck Canada or hockey have to do with the OP. Do they shop for the toilet paper to make their armor in Canada or something?

One moose, two moose. It's like fish and deer. Yes, I just googled it😁

And I'm trying to figure out what OP is😁

For the record fishes is also proper when your talking about multiple specific groups of fish. Bass, trout and salmon can be fish if referred to as a group or fishes if you mean to refer to each group desperately.

As for OP, what he said, Original Post. Sorry, I should assume everybody is up on all the jargon. I've been gone for most of the last three years but you check the join dates (they are under our names) a huge chunk of us have been here since the Bush Admin. Probably a few of us before that just weren't on the forums.

So you're totally gonna cover a neighbor's house and blame it on delinquent children right? You've no idea how tempted I am, imagine how pissed you'd be having lost out on the last roll only to find three houses covered?!

Also I don't start a whole lot of threads, certainly not the on GB and when I do they are either meant to be serious even if they get off the rials as things here do or they are at least half joking right out the gate.

I pointed all that out in LT's thread which was a lame attempt
to impugn peppers without toilet paper.
I had everything I needed to ride this out well in advance
and if I run out of bottled water, then I have super filtration devices
that can take the water out of the ponds and make it potable.

That belies their blaming of Trump for not being prepared.

As the saying goes, you cannot have your cake and eat it too.

They simply cannot say that it is of no import
and at the same time accuse Trump of not being prepared for the worst...

I'm off grid, and live at a lake, like you I have filtration system (Particulate,Charcoal, UV and finally Ceramic for drinking water). Mine though is in use 24/7 already. Water to me and the wife is not an issue. I have two chest freezers which have ??? amount of food in them, more than enough to last a month or two I suspect. A well stock pantry of canned items, flour and eggs ( including 2 dozen that were frozen by accident, which I use for baking now) a couple 10 pound bags of flour etc.

I do need to go buy some milk and bread though and freeze them. I normally don't waste space in the freezer on such items. Where I am soon to be lacking though is on fruits. So when I go pick up the milk and bread today, I guess I need to take a trip down the vitamin aisle and grab some to make up for the dietary loss of fresh fruit.

I do feel sorry for those who, either can't afford to have two weeks worth of food on hand, or never learned how to prepare meals and only live on take out and restaurants.

I have a stockpile of powdered milk and can honestly do without bread,
but in a pinch, I have a lot of flour and other ingredients to make bread,
as well as a Dutch oven to bake it in and, well, since I live in a forest,
plenty of fuel for that fire if electricity goes out.

;)

Or, "I just shot a deer."
Should I put one on the barbie for you
or do you want to trade for some Corona™ straight up?

I have a stockpile of powdered milk

I never liked the taste, I'll go without milk.

since I live in a forest,
plenty of fuel for that fire if electricity goes out.

;)

I heat with wood, got ten cords of birch in the yard, enough for three winters...and I can guaranty you the forest I live in is way bigger than yours. My mail box is over 40 miles away,my nearest neighbor is 4 miles away. I have no cell service or phone landline, and am off grid not by choice, but by the fact there is no electrical wires run out this way...

PS - I have frozen fruit already; not to mention canned and dehydrated.

Actually when you mentioned the frozen fruit you reminded me I do have some banana's frozen for baking and a bunch of blue berries and raspberries and saskatoon berries from last summer I have no yet turned into jam and jelly.

And for reference I am not a survivalist...chuckles, we just like to have our privacy and can afford to do so....

Actually that gives them much, much more room to blame Trump if they so chose which again, they've been no selling this thing. Accusing Trump of stomping on his own dick, which he did repeatedly, pointing out that Trump wasn't funding certain programs or listening to experts, which he wasn't, doesn't obligate them to start a panic. One that apparently started anyway.
