It has been quite a long time since this forum felt like it had “regulars,” but once upon a time it did. And @silverwhisper was among the best of them. I just wanted to share here for those who knew him here that he lost his long fight with cancer earlier this month. He was such an amazing person and spending some time scrolling his posts here reminded me of why so many of us were so drawn to him.

Oh no, sad. Fuck cancer

Sad news….

I have had the good fortune of having some good laughs and great conversations with Ed, both on the boards and in private. Fond memories that death can not steal.
Rest in peace Silverwhisper.

Well, shit. I had a brief chat with Ed and few weeks ago when I returned to LinkedIn after a long hiatus and saw a post about his health. I enjoyed his posts and all his contributions to this forum in particular. He was one of tge good guys, for sure.

Sorry to hear he lost that horrible battle. I hope he is resting peacefully now.
May his memory burn in your hearts for a long time.

Fuck.

I adored Ed and this hits hard. He was such a genuine, kind, compassionate human being, with a wicked sense of humour and sharp wit. May his memory be a blessing

No! I’m just seeing this now. I couldn’t have said it better, breezy, he will be missed.

I'm relatively new to Lit and didn't know him, but please know that you have my deepest, heartfelt condolences.

Sorry to hear that. It's been a rough go recently. We lost OggBashan and Athalia recently as well, as well as a couple of other people whose names I can't recall at the moment. But there seems to be new contributors as well. We'll keep marching on.

I didn’t know Athalia on a personal level, but her voice was definitely a great one on this corner of the internet. Ogg’s passing was anticipated as he was so open about that, but it still was heartbreaking. :(
