Harris takes the lead in Iowa

I'll believe it when I see it...but for the first time all year, I have hope that I will in fact see it!

This is apparently a poll with a justified reputation for startling accuracy, I might add. Friendly reminder, btw, that Professor Allan Lichtman of American University hasn't changed his stance or prediction on this election. His system is so good that he only got 2000 wrong, and only because Florida (and arguably the Supreme Court) went a little rogue. His record is even better than the Cook Political Report's, and that's saying something.

North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum on Sunday downplayed the Des Moines Register poll released Saturday that showed Kamala Harris unexpectedly leading Donald Trump in Iowa, 47 percent to 44 percent, within the margin of error.

Instead, in talking to host Kristen Welker on NBC's "Meet the Press," he pointed to an Emerson poll of Iowa that has Trump up 10 percentage points.

"His strength there is, you know, across the entire state, and we know that polls vary a lot based on who you’re sampling: age, rural, urban, all of these things can matter," Burgum told Welker on Sunday morning. "But I think, again, if you take the average of those last two polls, I think Trump is still going to confidently win Iowa — I would be surprised and completely shocked if that comes anywhere close to being the fact in Iowa."

Burgum added that the poll "showing it being tied nationally is more accurate because I think that’s the feeling that I get on the ground. It’s a very tight race that is going to be decided on Tuesday."

This is probably because Iowa has imposed a 6-week abortion ban.
Agreed.
Meanwhile. in Ohio, clueless Ohio GOP Senate candidate Bernie Moreno completely shits the bed, wondering why women over 50 give a flying fuck about abortion and women's health care?
Hint: They fought for it a half-century ago, only to see their hard-won gains vaporized by a politicized United States Supreme Court.

I have to admit, I fell for this one. I fell for the Dem over the weekend psyop of Trump is falling apart and Kamala is surging. I believed my lying eyes.
Iowa as blue. LOL
That is like every cycle the Dems telling us that Texas is just a few illegals away from going purple (forgetting that around half of latinos there are GOP).
