I assume this forum is full of plenty of people with a strong desire to write about sex, or life a sex positive lifestyle. But I'm curious nonetheless.

Does anyone here have a passion for something? It could be anything you obsess over, devote lots of effort towards, something you always make time for. It doesn't have to be something huge either. For example collecting old coins or origami.

And on a side note. If you have a passion, do you find any negatives that come along with it?

My 'Passion' would be writing, and making music. And the negative would be seeing my friends and families apathy for my passion, especially with music. The harsh reality of knowing that the part of me which I value the most... the most important part of me is nothing worthwhile or interesting to the people I care the most about. It's been difficult to keep bitter and angry feelings from festering at times. Though I think I'm decent at handling those feelings more these days.

My passions have lit up then fallen by the wayside of life. Mostly photography and music in terms of things I've dived deep into, although pretty much everything interests me and if I'd been more of an obsessive pursuer of my passions it could also have been engineering, geology, languages, cars, planes, ships and boats, art, cinema...

I've played in bands and done a whole lot of gigs. I've gone out with a camera, trying to catch the souls of people and places and even sometimes got paid for it. And ... that's been enough.

I'm one of those who wants to know everything about a subject then usually gets to 90% of everything and am satisfied, and I move on.

I have been lucky enough to have a few passions in life. I followed the Grateful Dead for a couple of years (funnest years of my life other than having step kids) I have successfully raced sailboats which was great fun. I designed and built my own place which was really rewarding. Lastly I love to travel and camp in my VW camper which has to be a passion because you spend just as much time working on it as you do camping in it. I feel quite blessed.

My passion is travelling thru Europe: tasting the history, the fabulous food and the wines.
In particular, I love visiting the city of Florence, Italy.
I have vacationed there for 15 years and even lived there for 2/1/2 months one year.
The city is amazing architecturally and the town is very accommodating.
I know most of the hotels there from low end (still amazing and totally acceptable), to the highest end (not necessary).
My second favorite city is Barcelona, followed by Amsterdam.
I loved Prague, a most pleasant surprise, and Vienna, which had more entrtainment and night life than almost any other city.
Anyone care to comment or tell me your experiences in Europe?

I have always had a passion for computers. I had a Commodore 64 back in the day and computers have been a part of my life ever since. They also make it possible to be passionate about video games. I'm a gamer and when I'm not surfing online, I'm usually playing one. I guess one negative about it is that I'm hopelessly addicted to the internet.

I am also passionate about having as many orgasms as possible. The downsides are no real desire to go anywhere and talking about it is problematic.

I grew up with fast cars, boats, airplanes, guns etc. When the cell phone came out, I tended to leave those hobbies and revert to canoeing, hiking and kayaking. Those hobbies all left the cell phone behind, didn't require the permits or engine troubles. It's not that I hate technology, it's the invasion of privacy. I still golf and enjoy laying hardwood floors. In these cases its a means to release my Tourette Syndrome.
