How Are You Coping?

I've had a lot of bad news in the last week or so. I ended up crying in my car after work for a few hours with a gun in my lap. Really considering not being alive for much longer. I'm kinda, just done and over with everything. I'm tired.

Please don't. It is awful for the survivors and there's so much beauty in the world. Please call a hotline, a friend, sell the gun at a pawn shop and take the money and do something fun. Sending you love and prayers. I've heard it expressed that suicide is a long-term solution to a short-term problem. I've had my dark times too, I'm grateful to have gotten through them.

Hi all. I absolutely just do not want this to turn into a political debate thread. That all should remain on the Politics Board. But I personally had a brutally rough day yesterday after the election. Was on the verge of puking or crying all day. But I ended up chatting with several friends on here, who not only commiserated, but also got me to focus on other things. And I made myself play a couple of my favorite games on my phone, and I took a couple nice walks, and I made a tasty dinner, and finally, was able to jerk off before I went to bed. And when I woke up, the sun came up as always, and I felt a bit better.

So. If you've been going through it, how have you dealt with your fear, depression, frustration, or just plain anger?

I am not coping very well. I have been treated for depression for a long time, but this turn of events has been a shock; a gut punch. Coping: by trying to maintain a 'normal' schedule; holding on to what is good in my life (e.g. my family, my health). Avoiding as much of the news as possible. Playing golf when I can. Watching sports, reading books, browsing for erotica...

I'm coping just fine, unlike some people losing their everloving shit with mental breakdowns, like a child told no in a toystore after eating six plates of buffet food. We had him once, this is the last time we will, he didn't destory the country the first time. Let's wait until he actually does something. Dudes not even in office yet.
