I don't do very well picking favorites---unless it involves hersixstring!
Reading, (my magazine and paperback book collection count is shameful!) cuddling up on the sofa to watch movies in a candle and potpourri filled room room, with a little alcohol, or otherwise. Flower growing and arranging, decorating, and shopping junk, antique and thrift stores. I love to find something I can use in an entirely different way, plus there are so many 'never used" items you can purchase for like 3 bucks...it's really about my number one hobby.

What is your favorite quote?
I have two. "Stand for something or you'll fall for anything", and to steal from MeatLoaf, "you're the only thing in this whole world that's pure and good and right, and wherever you are and wherever you go, there's always gonna be some light". It's not really quote worthy, but it's left it's mark on me, and is such a positive statement.
I'm a big fan of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

Being my fathers daughter. I was always known because of him. He's a well known artist in his little corner of the world.

Homes for unwed mothers. They were damn good to me, and I give back as best I can. I don't often stop and think of what those that are collecting money on a smaller degree at shopping centers etc, are collecting for, I just give anyway. I do find myself giving to March of Dimes fairly often.

I only have two. One is 14, one is 7.

Damn it with these favorites, lol! There isn't a thing I do that, in the moment, isn't my favorite!

There are 2 actually. Both still crack me up to this day! The first involves my preaching to my mother on the way to do a side job of inventory at The Gap, located in a huge mall. I kept teasing her about why she always climbed escalators, as the whole point was that you wouldn't have to climb stairs. (please note, I was 18 and had never been on an escalator.) So, we get to the mall, and because I walk so fast, my mom and my best friend were trailing along behind me. Well, I knew the store was on the 2nd level, so I took the first elevator I saw and proceeded upwards. Now tell me, when you have one lone elevator sticking out there like it's the highway to Heaven, how the fuck are you to know it's the down escalator????? Needless to say, it had me on my tummy in 2 seconds, my Candies sandals went in all 4 directions, and hardhead that I am, I just kept fighting those stairs determined to get up them! Finally I landed in a heap on the floor, wishing the earth would open up and swallow me, and there was a circle of people around me 3 deep just dying laughing at me, and all I could think of was how was I gonna find my shoes---how was I even gonna bring myself to stand up?? I kept looking for my mom and friend, and finally caught them high tailing it in the opposite direction, trying to not be associated with me.
Someone brought me my shoes, helped me up and asked if I was OK,? Well I don't know what they thought I should say, but they had a very strange look on their face as I stumbled away. I won't even tell you what happened when I caught up to my mom and friend!
#2 happened when I was sneaking into the alley (with my lights off) of the restaurant I worked at with my boyfriend. They were closed and he was supposed to have met me at this dance club like 2 hours ago, but hadn't. I had a very strong feeling he was 2 timing me, so I decided to find out once and for all, yet not really go through a scene about it. I was perfectly willing to find out the truth, and go about my merry way. Well, since I only worked there at night, I never paid attention to the construction, remodeling, etc. that went on during the day. I had lived there all my life, nothing growth wise was happening in those days. So, not having a clue about the construction next door as I peeked in and found the truth in a way I never thought I would, I left my lights off and backed back out of the lot, into the alley, and was going to back into the front parking lot of the building beside us so I could enter the city street driving forward versus backwards. Oh hell, my world turned upside down. One minute I was looking behind me, the next moment I was staring at the stars!
Ok, surely you realize that driving into a trench does tend to catch the attention of any and everyone within a half mile radius?
Yes, I had to crawl out the window of the car, go to the restraunt door and announce the stupid ass thing I'd done, just so I could use the phone to call for help. That man was so smug and trying to fight his laughter, I just wanted to kick him!
At any rate, as the tow truck driver started pulling me out, he couldn't help but continue to ask me if I was sure I wanted it pulled out, lol? Once he got it out, he totally lost it when I saw the dented up rear end and the sticker that reads "welcome to Miller time!". Hell, I thought I was gonna have to drive that tow truck outta there for him.
All my Dad said was "don't you ever, in any circumstances, tell your mother about this! "Ever!"

What's under your bed?
A drawstring bag of seldom used toys, a huge bag of tea lights, a bat, some loose papers that I haven't decide what to do with yet, a slipper, and a flashlight.

One particularly restless day someone, on another board, referred me to the site. Read some of the stories and was impressed. Only recently discovered the boards.

Playing with amateur photography and no, not people, mostly nature/landscapes. Reading. Experimenting with cooking!

4. What is your weirdest claim to fame? (You know, the kind of thing your hometown would put on a road sign if only it weren't so...well...weird.)

5. What is your favorite charitable cause? Why?

Proud sponsor of a young girl in Tanzania. And yes, before you tell me that most of the funds go towards administrative cost, I like to think that my contribution in some way is getting through to her and assisting her and her family. If that means that she gets to continue or actually obtain an education that will be enough for me...for now.

7. Describe your favorite place in the whole world.

Lake Ouchy in Lausanne, Switzerland. Harbourfront at the Toronto Islands. Heck anywhere where I can sit awhile, stare at open spaces and dream.

8. What is your most wonderful accomplishment?

Being comfortable enough with myself to do my 1st solo trip many years ago.

The one I wanted was taken and for some reason I like this one.

What enables you to "cut loose", stop thinking and just enjoy a moment as it happens?

Ability to be comfortable with myself, the person(s) and surroundings. Failing that, 2 glasses of wine which is my limit.

What is the funniest thing that ever happened to you?

Funniest for other people, not me is my never ending ability to walk into things. I've been told I need insurance to walk with.

Books and shoes and anything else that I'm missing.

Who-dun-it dramas or wacky dramas.

Are your fantasies centered around a certain someone you know, (partner, neighbor, etc.) or even as a stranger that you come across or someone on the web---or are they always some faceless nobody with something that is a trigger for you?

Yes. Yes. Yes. Ok, most often someone I know or have met, however, the more I play on the net I get attracted to perceived personalities. Perving at some pics also help.
