Hello there!
I am looking for an editor read through my current story, which takes place in a fantasy jungle.
The details:
I have run spell-check
Word count: Over 8k (but should be less than 9k) words. (I am just finishing up the last bit of the story.)
I feel like my grammar is good, so I mainly need someone to make sure it makes sense, and flows well. I try to keep my stories fast paced, but I was also told they could use more detail. So I am trying to find a good balance. I want to paint a good visual picture for my reader, translating what I am seeing in my mind, but still keeping a solid pace and flow.
Here is the first paragraph of the story:
"Ky-La's heart raced as she plunged through the foliage. Her brown hair flew behind her as her bare feet gave her sure footing. She leapt, ducked, and weaved deftly onward, pushing her limbs to their limits. And though her swiftness was nigh unparalleled, she knew the gorape was bearing down upon her. Try as she might, there was little chance of outrunning such a beast as pursued her now. "
