It seems like my desire to write stories conflicts with my desire to write poetry. If I concentrate on my poetry, it conflicts with my desire to write the stories I want to publish. I'm stuck between two worlds, right? Momentum in one fights momentum in the other. Maybe one of these days, I'll learn to balance the two. For now, it's just a see-saw. I'm unable to do anything other than pivot between the two.

Poems are prose. Poems are short stories. Poems appear in black print (Film scripts). Poems are dialogue (stage plays).

For example, a Log line is the entire film in 30 or less words.

Barbarian Conan “When a nation forgets her skills in war, when her religion becomes crockery, when the whole nation becomes a nation about money, call on Conan in a dress.”

Perhaps rethink what poetry is? Not isn’t.

Correct. But don’t lose sight of the context.
wait, does this mean what I think it means? does he ask to suck dick?
Poems can be built on words misconstrued. Consider:

“…call on Conan in a dress…”

—could mean, visit Conan in a dress. Or not. Extrapolate in further verse and you could have a poem about making love not war.

Or there's a missing d and Conan's address will follow. 😶‍🌫️
