And here I thought people in the midwest were fairly conservative!

Conservative = Midwest..........no, I don't think we are more conservative...after all, we only have corn and bean fields to keep up busy ;)
 
As far as mid-westerners being more conservative I think I would agree only in the sense that I at least haven't spoken to that many who are into the more extreme forms of sex. I think we like our sex, but prefer to keep poop, pee, animals, and other "unique" things out of the mix.

Of course there is a big difference between having fun pretending and talking about some of the more "taboo" items. Again, only speaking for myself, don't know too many people that really want to have sex with their mom or dad. However I know some that enjoy the idea of the "forbidden". For example, I love to read/play the non-consent idea. Does this mean I want raped? HELL NO! But many like myself love the idea of the handsome stranger forcing themselves upon me.

Ok, Iowans prove me wrong now! :)

I can't say I agree there, I've met many people fromt his area that are into the more extreme styles. I think it is just kept more shush shush in the country areas. Just my opinion though, maybe I somehow just attract the crazy ones! LOL

Well, I'm certainly not "conservative"... of course, I'm from Chicago originally, so perhaps that's why I'm so "liberal" in my attitudes. *grins*
 
I don't think Iowa is necessarily THAT much more conservative than illinois is. Illinois has a bigger population though, and many more urban centers/areas... its a lot easier to find people with similar quirks and foibles where there is bigger population... and Iowa's population has actually been going dooooown in recent years (heh, go go tidbits of college education!).

I have never actually lived in a large city, just very near to them. I still have to stick with my theory that ^^^^^only the corn shall know ^^^^^

Am from the Quad cities myself.....but know what you mean....it seems like everyone is from california or florida....go figure.

born and raised in the plains...now live in midwest..

i would say that i am not conservative sexually....having a pretty deep sexual ambition to experince, learn, create, and share...

experienced enough to teach, not too experienced to deny learning...

fortunately/unfortunately experienced in taboo-esque events.
