Need a little help...

I’m working on a story that has mostly voyeuristic elements, but also focuses on a spanking in detail. I’m not sure where I should put it…. The underlying theme has to do with exposure, and exhibitionism. However, I really dug into the spanking element of it which could land it in BDSM.

Maybe put it in voyeur / exhibitionism with an authors note cautioning the BDSM element?

Thoughts?

E&V is a very welcoming category, and readers will usually reward you for a novel approach to the basic concept of watching. I'm not sure I'd even bother with a warning.

Appreciated, and that’s what I’m leaning towards. I always put a foreword/preface in anyway so the reader has an idea of what they’re getting into. There’s not enough BDSM material in this to really warrant that category…. I feel like it would be disappointing to anyone searching that genre. But, it is pretty aggressive where it exists.

If you're genuinely worried, a one-sentence disclaimer at the front -- "This story contains elements of impact play" -- plus the appropriate tags would be fine.

Agreed. But, I wasn’t really sure how it would be interpreted. I’m no guru by any stretch.

Also… this spanking involves a switch. So it’s a little more severe.
