You'd have a difficult time proving that illegal immigrants are a threat to our democracy. You'd basically have to prove there are more in California (primarily) than there are in all of the Southern states and that it has an impact on the EC. They are not refusing rule of law either. There is no law that states you must check for absolutely everything every time you have an encounter with law enforcement. There is no law that states you must have your ID on you at all times. And supporting as much as you do goes against the American freedom and self responsibility that you champion so hard.

Almost 50% of Americans pay little or nothing in income tax, but last I checked there is no tax right off for liquor or smokes. I'm pretty sure they consume more of both than the national average but I don't feel like hunting down that particular stat cus you'll ask for 100 years worth of data from multiple sources. Also normal clothing and shit are subject to taxes. Taxes that most of these people will not be able to recoup in the form of a return. They are also often paid below the minimum wage. They are also loathe to approach the government as a whole.

I don't think there is a write off for property tax. So if I follow normal conservative logic the rich don't pay taxes, they pass it on to the customers. While I don't believe this to be 100% true I do hold that property owners

Nothing is better when you have illegal immigrants living fear of deportation. It does make law enforcements job harder than it must be because have too many bigots. It encourages gang violence, a lack of good medical care including vaccinatioins. Why make life harder?

Can we worry about giving people a path to citizenship a little bit down the road? I don't know, at least into a universe where you and yours aren't attacking people who have never known a home outside America getting a path to citizenship. If we cared about giving them a path to citizenship or hell, less generously legal resident status which doesn't let them vote as seems to scare you so much and would get them in the tax system (assuming you want them to be able to both have a path to safely complain about their poor employment conditions without risk of being reported. I mean its all down hill for you if they had a path to these things. Again we know why you don't and it has nothing to do with you disagreeing with me. When it comes to most things the Left is far more freedom oriented in a real sense of the word than anything else. On side wants to let you smoke weed, have control of your own body and fought for equal rights for minorities.

One fights to keep drug laws that have destroyed minority communities on several levels intact. One is more worried about hungry and often times in danger in their home countries to be forced back into those hell holes. Bad enough on its own, but the fact that we never nail the employers makes it crystal clear that the motivtations aren't about jobs for Americans, or safety because the illegals would come in lower numbers if finding employment was harder.
