So I rolled two of my questions in to one thread.

First - what's on your bucket list? Have you done any of your bucket list stuff yet? Will you??

Second - what do you like to do - a "hobby" I guess you'd call it. Stuff - other than sex - that brings you pleasure.

My bucket list will be answered in dribs and drabs, but most of it has to do with travel.

Hobbies? I’m working on them. I love to cook. Garden. Read. I need to pick up my workouts again. I like light weight training. I used to run. All these active things get started, then stalled. When I’m in the moment, I’m good, and it’s not a chore. Right now, I’m off, and it’s easier to fall back on my less participative hobbies.
I used to ride. I haven’t in about 20 years. I miss it.
I need a hobby. Something where I’m not feeding everyone.

My bucket list is also mostly travel. I need to step foot on more continents. My partner and I are listing the national parks we’d love to visit and hike, too. (He’s a serious backpacker...I’m more of a glamper, so compromise will be essential). I also have a couple ideas for books...I need to get started.

My hobbies include watching my kids’ sports and extracurriculars, haha. Seriously, I’m working to get back to reading like I used to. Hiking is a recently rekindled hobby. And I’m getting very much back into thrifting. I aspire to become a much better cook, maybe take some classes.

I didn’t read much when I had school age kids. My energy was so focused on them. Hence, the cooking and feeding of everyone I see. Cookie can attest.

2 people who know me really well have been urging me to do... something. Something creative. Something active. Something that is for me.
I have to admit, I don’t know how to, really.

Like, my bucket list, for instance. Includes DWB. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. Right now, I have too many responsibilities here at home. So. That’s a bucket list item I many not achieve.
But, going away once a season by myself to see friends, is.

I don’t want to have to compromise a bucket list, though.
So, yes. Doctors Without Borders has always been something I’ve wanted to do.
Is it for me, though? Id be working.

I was contemplating this just the other day. I don't think I have a "bucket list," because I feel like a "real" bucket list is something you really do intend to do, as a goal. And I don't really have these as goals.

They're certainly things I'd like to do, but if I never get them done? No biggie. I've lived a fairly adventurous life, so... yeah. I'm good. But these are all things I've yet to do.

1. See the northern lights.
2. Go to Gibraltar.
3. Sail.
4. See my kids succeed and be happy.
5. Take my daughter to Skye.
6. Visit Auschwitz.

Hobbies? So many, in no order...

1. Guitars and basses, playing.
2. Guitars and ukuleles, building.
3. Shooting.
4. Collecting... oh, so many things. So many useless and redundant things.
5. Running, though I can no longer do it well.
6. Reading.

I’ve been to Auschwitz.

If you build me a uke, I will learn to play it.
Or maybe I should build my own. Then play it.

They're fun and simple to build. To do it properly, you'd need to tool up. But you can make a serviceable one out of a cigar box and a few other things.

I'd love to make you one, but I'm backlogged. Not for making ukes, but for life in general.;)

PM me for details, if you wanna.

I have tools!
Can I borrow your tape measure?

My bucket list is completely unwritten. It was written and then life changes also meant a change in how I view myself and what I want. I'll get back to thinking on this at a later time.

I just don't see any reason to hurry for now.

Hobbies are simple and supplement my income (hopefully I sold my first piece recently)
Glassblowning ,lampworking ,leadlight reproduction and repairing leadlight windows.
There is a simple peace I can find locked away in my shed turning simple glass into a tiny creature as big as my thumb or wineglasses specific for a married couple on their 50th anniversary.
The mind numbing peace is probably the main reason I do it. I don't have to be a boss or a mother,I don't have to have my hair perfect or make it lunch. In the end if I hate it or have a bad day there is the perk of breaking it and starting again.

I love that. Breaking it and starting again?
Wondering how you got into this?

I have no bucket list. I see no point. I just do what I want and get what I want.

Hobbies are gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, writing, health and nutrition, pranic healing, dancing, rocks and crystals, Law of Attraction, Astrology and asst. other Metaphysical things.

What’s pranic healing?

I have no bucket list.
My tuba and my sousaphone are my hobbies. As I like to play the melody of songs, I also spend time transposing the music from treble clef to bass clef. I swim in the pool on the premises where I live and I have to get back to that so I can continue to lose weight.

If a piece doesn't turn out how I envisioned it I'll put it to the side for a rainy day and start with a fresh piece. I offer them up to friends and family to use in stressful times. I used 15 piece's myself with my divorce :D

I make wooden jewelry and figurines and sell them at markets. That's more of a family tradition I've known my whole life. I wanted to expand on materials. The glasswork just over took my passion for working with wood as much.
Living remote doesn't help the isolation is hard sometimes always a need for distraction.

Bucket list:
See Ireland, Niagara Falls, Crazy Horse, Seattle, Japan, Nantucket, Vermont, Zippo museum, Lightner museum, Tuscany, Greece, Florence, Hot Springs, Juneau and back to San Diego for at least a week.

Hobbies: reading, looking at porn, cooking, gardening, sewing, knitting, computer games, armchair traveling.

Is it difficult? Was it a challenge?

Ireland.
Iceland.
The Grand Canyon. Isn’t that sad? I’ve never been.
Beijing.
Prague.
Barcelona.

I will go anywhere. I really will. The issue is money. I’ve been to Europe, and would love to delve deeper. I’ve been tropical. Would always return.

But those are the places I really feel a need to see.

The Spam museum is near me.

Food for thought.

It is difficult to learn in the beginning some decent YouTube videos out there. It can be a cheap hobby my first torch was under $50 and I ordered pre made rods online. I now use a mix of pre made and ones I'll stain myself.
If you keep the design focused and remember all the angles it's a matter of heat the rod stick it to blown shape of glass and dragging it to line up with what you see. It flexes and twist a lot like hot toffee.

The hardest part I found is remembering it's a hot surface all the time. You get so caught up in weaving in new patterns and shades it's easy to forget and get to close to the torch. Or that may just be me.

Tiffany style lamps?
When I went to Venice I spent an entire day with the glassblowers. Soothing.

I can make them it's more intricate with the framing for the glass needing to be perfect sizing and interlocking. I use similar to a stain glass window plan I lay it out on a flat surface and start tacking it upwards to form a bowl shape. Cut and shape the glass to fit and secure it all in place. I've been told it's the wrong way about it but it works simpler for me.

Very soothing and now I'm very jealous too :D
