After looking around, I wanted to get a game going. Seeing that a lot of the games are between long-running players, I didn't want to just jump into one without asking.

Instead, I decided to just ask if anyone would like to get a new game going? The ORP section feels a little more laid-back so this seemed like the best place to ask, apologies if I'm out of order.

I was wondering if anyone would like to get an adventure going. I've got some ideas for your standard sci-fi or fantasy adventure and a few things I could contribute to a supernatural or other non-standard setting.

I'm thinking that maybe this won't work without a contribution from me so here are a few ideas I'm already kicking around.

I'm seeing a lot of power-play, BDSM, and monsters. While a long-form 'the adventurers meet in a tavern' RPG is what I'm pitching, perhaps something with a narrower scope would be better for a first-run. Here's two ideas that could be fleshed out into something bigger, or kept small and intimate.

- A team of paramilitary specialists has to take on a new and unusual threat. Psychic demolition teams and magical snipers take down cosmic horrors while the populace lives in blissful ignorance of any of it.

- A struggling adventurers guild needs a big score during an economic downturn and they are willing to take on any job that pays. While its members include the sort of characters you would immediately re-roll, their quirks prove handy in a tight spot.

Between spray-on Kevlar body suits and chain mail bikinis in the costume department, and the sort of sexual tension that gets up when you have a group of physically fit people at the top of their game showing off in front of each other, these stories (and most of the characters) could go either way.

Cool. Looks like the RPG one. With everyone playing off the cuff, it's probably better to go with the idea that requires the least explaining beforehand.

I'm pretty sure that an actual game system isn't going to work on a bulletin board (though I'd love to entertain ideas on how it could) so, maybe a short description of the character along with their ability or skillset.

Suppose I should come up with an official thread. Any preference on a name?

Lila had seen minotaurs before, but this one was very large and in these close quarters seemed more menacing. She swallowed and then she tried to stand up a little taller. She had remembered her boss told her, don't say anything. But for some reason Lila had to say something.

“Fuck! You're HUGE” Lila said to the Minotaur. Unfortunately, when she said it her eyes were on his crotch. She quickly moved her eyes away from his crotch and added “I didn’t mean that area… I meant in general, you are very large.” She said as a correction. She knew that didn’t sound good either so she added. “Not that you aren’t big there too… I just meant… ” Lila realized she was only making things worse. “Forget what I said. I could always fall back to the role of GM and take over for NPC's and enemies. That would allow us to increase the number of players without turning it into a sausage party.

With any luck, that should increase the number of male and female players.

I'll keep my character around of course, but maybe have him fill a support role so the actual players can stand out.
