That's a good start for a story idea:

A Lit reader is adding their two penn'orth to a Story Idea and they mistakenly start a new thread. The SO sees this and replies with a question, "Why do you want new ideas? What's wrong with what we do now?"
From there they try a few new things ....

or instead of the SO, the poster meets a new Lit friend to try new things with?

perhaps they start trading notes...by PM of course.
Prime Ministers are, by and large, very boring people. I suggest you leave them out of the story.

and some of them are very large boring people. But they might make useful intermediaries in a comedy of manners/bedroom farce.

I cannot recall one Prime Minister who could be called "ornamental" by any stretch of the imagination (and mine stretches farther than most).

Edited to add:
PS> I just remembered Pierre Trudeau, so maybe one.

Kim Campbell was ok too.

and Joe clark could pass in the same sense as the " see no evil monkeys"...he certainly had the ears for it.

doorstops

Like those hideously poorly made Ganeshas in plastic.

couldn't have a PM take a message to a girl though; how reliable would that be?

No chance. The PM might promise lots of things, to you and to her, but they rarely deliver ... anything.

well, if we did get her, we know she'd be heavily taxed.
