Pizza toppings

What are your favorite pizza toppings?

Tomato, basil and mozzarella. If I feel like more putting on something more, then it's salami, zucchini or eggplant.

Zucchini, goats cheese and spinach are a pretty good combo too. As are figs, blue cheese and prosciutto.

I like veggie pizzas, particularly when they've got spinach on them.

But my current favorite is a ham, pineapple, and tomato combo.

I like a variety of pizza 'compositions.' Chopped meatballs or sausage, mushrooms and black olives is my favorite. I also love tomato, ricotta and spinach, with either red sauce or "white" style. And I kinda like Hawaiian style but it wouldn't be my first choice.

As a New Yorker, where there are pizzerias on every other block (or so it seems), I feel compelled to give my opinion. I don't like a lot of toppings on a slice, because I feel it takes away from the cheese and tomato taste, which I really like. When I do get a topping, it's usually olives or pepperoni.

Can't choose as usual.

I like when there are not too many different flavours.
Just tomato saice and mozarella is great and then we might throw some salami milanese or some prosciutto on top.
The kids usually demand pinapple though.

One palace makes a great pizza with pesto and bacon.

I like the old classic with sarde (not the same as anchovies as google translaråte tries to tell me), capers and olives. Tuna and onion is great too.

One of the best pizzas I ever had and the one I'm forever trying to recreate, since that resteraunt closed, is a funghi variety.
The closest I've come is when I make pizza with tomato sauce and mozzarella and then top it with ruccola and mushrooms sautéed in butter and garlic and then spiced with a ton of parmesan.

No red sauce only olive oil and garlic ... add mozzarella, finely chopped chicken breast (not alot!) Tomato slices and chopped broccoli.. and sprinkle more cheese... try it... you'll like it!

At times I like canned mushrooms which harkens back to my childhood. I have to make them myself though because it seems no one uses canned mushrooms anymore and fresh are just not the same in texture or taste.

Most of the time I like black olives and bell pepper.

Turns out upon further reading that I did mean anchovies after all. (Mea culpa, Google translate)
I just don't mean what Scandinavians mean when they speak of anchovies.
I mean Engraulis Encrasicolus.
