Report: Sinead O'Connor dead at 56

A much better live version.
I've spoken to a few people who've said 'Yea, it's a shame but it's not like she'd...'
Because so many people just didn't get it, didn't understand where she was coming from or what was in her heart...
I'm not going to say she was right about everything, but god, she had such passion.

This is crazy, go near the back end of it and listen to her sing Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This.

I know! She was so beautiful. If I shaved my head I'd look like that prisoner in Stir Crazy.
I've been watching a tv doc on Sky Arts this evening. I knew so little about her, yet I still felt she was a voice that spoke for women. I had no idea how bad things were for women in Ireland back then. Watching her snarl into the microphone, then switch to a pixie off stage didn't add up somehow - the music let her repression out. The rest of the time she was a smiling pressure cooker.

I watched this vid on YT and despite the stereotypical gushing American voice over, it has some decent insight.

Side note, I don't know who this 'gee-wizz life is amazing' voice-over guy is, but he is seriously the wrong person to end the video with 'If you are or someone you know is contemplating suicide or self harm then Chat at 988Lifeline.org for some more insincere babble with a airhead like me, or someone like me, who can recommend clinics and health practitioners that can help. Call now.'
