There is a news story out about Jeri Ryan and her soon to be ex and him trying to get her to have sex with him at these clubs where married people have sex in public. I think you might be talking about a Swingers club. Some are on-site (you meet people and have sex there), and in some of them, you just meet people and go somewhere else. Try typing Swingers, Swinging, and CA or California or the nearest large city into google or another engine, and you should get a ton of resources and results.

If you're ever up in San Francisco, there's a club called Power Exchange. If I remember correctly, it's near the Mission district (kinda ironic, huh lol)
I've never been there, but I've heard it's a great place to go if you want to have a ton of strangers follow you around hoping they can see a show (my old roomate went once with a friend of hers to check it out and told me about it).
They have a website somewhere...it shouldn't be hard to find if you do a search.
