Suck and Sweet

Suck: It was a day of non-stop virtual calls.

Sweet: I’m officially down 10lbs as of this morning. Only like a hundred left to go 😂.

Suck: Time zones are scattered all over the place

Sweet: Still get to chat with lots of fun people.

Suck- I feel sad for no real reason and tired - but my brain wont shut off.

Sweet- tomorrow is mardi gras and I have no work and plans of fun with people I adore.

Sorry you can’t get your brain to shut down! That is always hard.

Do you live in New Orleans or somewhere else that does Mardi Gras up or are you just excited to celebrate?

My suck-not being able to update something I really wanted to update.
My sweet-the reason I didn’t get to the update is because my husband surprised the family with tickets to the movies.

Thank you for the kind words! I am not lucky enough to live there currently, but I did for six years during /after college. I still miss it, but Im lucky enough to have friends here that will be silly and celebrate in our own way. 🙂

Your husband sounds lovely! Im glad you had a nice suprise. 🙂

My suck was my heart hurting for one of my best friends.

My sweet was my friends in Chaos making me laugh first thing this morning and my daughter decorating the house for Mardi Gras.

My suck ... my dog's unwillingness to recall, preferring to tease and play
Sweet... a neighbour who came to help

Outcome ... an hour later : exhausted 2 adults & 1 dog

My suck: the over an hour long drive in 7+ inches and heavy snowfall.

My sweet: getting home before dark and having a glass of wine to unwind
