1) A very helpful conversation with a longstanding online friend about what I find an awkward subject. She doesn't, because it's related to what she does for a living. :D
2) A decent mug of tea.
3) A day of (almost) rest after a few busy and stressful days.
4) The good wishes of friends.
5) The NHS.
6) A highly supportive and understanding partner, when he didn't have to be.
7) Pain easing off.
8) Another day.

1. Being able to stay home to take care of my kids

1. Publishers who understand the ever changing whims of authors.
2. The paycheck that comes from working hard. And often.
3. Friends who let friends be friends.

Having girlfriends who still call to invite me out even though I usually can't. Keep calling me girls.

A PM friend, he knows who he is :rose:

My kids being the best damn kids

Getting to call him mine, waking up next to him every day, and wearing his collar.

Feeling like I've genuinely made friends here.

Continuing:

3) that my body is in healthy working order
4) that my mind is generally in good working order

my family

my jobs
my house
the fact there are places I can be me without fear.

Today, I am grateful for reconnecting with a lost friend.

Getting back on lit after a 6 month departure.

My boss being off the rest of the week. Trouble, trouble.

Early morning orgasms in a parking lot.

So grateful right now that my best friend loves me even sleep deprived and without coffee. She's truly one of a kind, and such an incredible person!

Denny

Grateful that someone raised our kids right and they forced us to move 1100 miles back home.
Grateful for internet real estate where I bought our next retirement home from 1100 miles away.
Grateful for our kids that checked the house out and helped make it happen
Grateful for our health, even though we are getting older.
Grateful that we are now close to the few old friends from long ago and visit at least weekly.
Grateful our oldest son adopted our youngest son's druggy alcholic whore's baby almost two years ago and Sundy we will attend her birthday party without driving 1100 miles this time. Grateful she is healthy and normal.
Grateful for the late model car I also bought over the internet from a friendly dealer and am able to drive to our grand daughter's birthday party.
Grateful for my loving wife who has been with me over 60 years.
Grateful I could write a book about how grateful I am.

I have just dried my hair with a hair dryer ( rare) having used a spray that is meant to enhance the curl. and it looks very odd indeed, but I am exceedingly grateful that I have hair. :).
Me too!
If I develop male pattern baldness I will genuinely kill myself.

No really.
I'll collect and subsequently fashion a rope from the lost strands and hang myself in the car park of an NHS building to spite them for not covering male hair transplants.

My kids

I have the best kids ever. Just sayin.

Friends.

Here and tangible.

Wine.

I am so thankful that this morning when I got up I could hear fog horns and see the mist coming up the hill. Early mornings on the deck with a cup of coffee are the best. I'm thankful I live close to the ocean and the mountains and beauty is all around me. I'm thankful that my daughter's sensory problems continue to get better - even through hills and valleys. I am thankful that my blackberries are going through a second bloom and that my tomatoes are still ripening. I'm thankful for chilly evenings as fall approaches, the earthy tones of horse chestnuts, and the gem drop colors of turned leaves on the ground.
