Calum Reeves was 28, although to look at him you wouldn't be able to tell how old he was and that was because Calum Reeves was invisible. Oh, he hadn't always been this way, up till a few years ago he had been a normal guy with a normal job with a normal life. He was single, never married, a geek really. he was so into computer games and books he hardly ever lifted his head to look at the world around him. The only time he wasn't playing Call of Duty online or reading the latest batch of comic books he had bought was when he was at work or at the cinema. He lived in a quiet suburban neighbourhood, literally with white picket fences on the front lawns. He said Hi to his neighbours when he saw them but didn't go out of his way to make friends feeling far more comfortable with his online community.
As a man he was rather underwhelming which didn't help his attraction to the opposite sex. He was of average height, short brown hair, soft brown eyes, pale smooth skin thanks to being indoors so much. Oddly he wasn't fat despite his sedentary lifestyle, something his doctor put down to a heightened metabolism. He wasn't skinny though either, he was ... well, average there to. In fact the only thing he did have which wasn't average was his cock. Although poor Calum didn't really realise that as he was a virgin and no girl had ever seen it to comment. His dick when hard was an impressive 8" long and as thick as a Red Bull can. Again though even though when soft it caused a bulge the clothes he chose to wear were baggy which hid it from anyone who might have been curious. Calum was just one of those people you didn't notice, who was invisible in the crowd ... until one day he really did become invisible.
Calum worked at the Heinrich Chemical Works just outside of town. he had worked here most of his life and had no wish to be anywhere else. He was good at what he did and it was a well paid job allowing him to but what little he needed to be happy in his life. One thing he wasn't aware of though was just how badly Heinrich Chemicals bypassed health and safety laws. So on the day the event happened it took Calum as much by surprise as everyone else. He was at lunch, sitting outside eating his burrito in the warm sun when the chemical mixing tank burst. No one else was in the area so only Calum suffered what happened next. The chemical spilled all over him causing a burning sensation on his skin and a pain so bad he almost immediately blacked out. When he came to he lay in the pool of chemical, but the pain had gone and so to the burning. He wiped the goop from his eyes and sat up seeing people in hazmat suits all around him. he waved to them but no one seemed to notice so he stood up, a little shaken, and wandered over to stand before one of the.
"Hey, can I get some help please?" He asked.
The man who was writing on a clipboard literally jumped out of his skin and spun around, then back to face Calum, then looked up. The shock on the guys face was obvious. Calum waved his hand in front of the mans face but he could tell the eyes on the other side of the visor weren't seeing him .... but then he noticed he wasn't seeing him either. He couldn't see the hand he was holding up. Leaving the confused man alone, Calum wandered off and sat down in shock on a nearby wall. He looked down, he wasn't there, his entire body was gone ... except ... it wasn't gone. he could feel it, touch it, feel the air on his skin ... skin?! He quickly patted himself down and realised his clothes were gone.
That was the day Calum Reeves life changed. In the next year he went from unnoticed nerd to a superhero. Yes, ok, his antics after he turned invisible had been bad. he had robbed a bank for example, but soon he realised he could use his new found powers for good. He became a crime fighter and was quickly christened the White Shadow ... which he was rather proud of as a comic book fan. But his deeds didn't go unnoticed. A group of famous superheroes came looking for him, a billionaire in a tin suit and some do gooder with a shield. They wanted him to help the world, to join their team, and so Calum had figuring it was a good deal. He got to live at their plush HQ, hang out with famous superheros and go on dangerous missions to save the world. Only, if truth be told, Calum wasn't really superhero material. More a coward than a brave hero he found most times he found a place to hide while the fights went down. His invisibility only helping that. And at the end he would pop up and make up what he had done to help the team. As they had been unable to call him a liar, they couldn't see what he did after all, they just went with it.
Now though Calum was back in his old town on vacation. Back in the old stomping grounds as Captain Shield had called it. Calum had kept up payments on his old house and paid someone to maintain it so when he let himself in it looked even better than when he had lived here. The group he worked with had given him a top secret device, a holo-disguise that allowed him to appear real to everyone while he had it turned on, but that when turned off allowed him to become invisible again, clothes and all. The device fit in a wrist watch so was small and innocuous. He turned it off, slipping into invisibility and stood on the porch of his house with a smile. Yes, he was on vacation, but the mild mannered Calum Reeves had changed, and he had scores to settle.
