Hello, BWolf. Having a good day?
Could have been better - R/L stuff...

But, all in all, considering my seemingly *soon* geographic change, I can't complain, cc...

How are you?

Pretty good. Funny, I had thought about moving to SC at one time. I like it around Charleston.

Ever been to Maurice's barbecue? Coming from up North I was a little taken about by the huge Confederate flag which by itself wasn't so bad, but his book on "Our Heritage" got to me. I was afraid they didn't like Yankees and poison my food, but everyone was friendly. Not sure how they would take to you wearing you Red Sox cap. (BTW, did I tell you I came from NYC?).

I knew you came from NYC... PLEASE tell me you aren't a Yankees fan... I'll have to not like you anymore...!! LOL...

Kidding... If I based my friendships on sports, I wouldn't have a friend in the world...

I'm not overly familiar with SC... I was stationed in Augusta, GA in the Army, which is right over the line from Aiken, SC, where I used to party a lot... But I gotta tell you, I'm *very* taken with the state at this point...

Well, we just won't talk about baseball or football, I guess.

I also forgot to add that I was stationed at Fort Jackson. Been back to Columbia a few times since then. I think it was in Columbia some buddies and I went on a pass, rented a hotel room, and left it filled with beer bottles. I keep hoping we left the maid a good tip, but I doubt it, being only privates at that time.

And don't forget:

Dixie

I wish I was in the land of cotton,
old times there are not forgotten,
Look away, look away, look away, Dixie land.
In Dixie land where I was born in, early on a frosty mornin',
Look away, look away, look away, Dixie land.
Chorus:
Then I wish I was in Dixie, hooray! Hooray!
In Dixie land I'll take my stand, to live and die in Dixie,
Away, away, away down south in Dixie,
Away, away, away down south in Dixie.

Old Missus marry Will de Weaber, Will-yum was a gay deceaber,
Look away, look away, look away, Dixie land.
But when he put his arm around her,
smiled as fierce as a forty pounder.
Look away, look away, look away, Dixie land. (Chorus)

Dars buckwheat cakes an' ingen batter, makes you fat or a little fatter,
Look away, look away, look away, Dixie land.
Den hoe it down and scratch your grabble to Dixie's land
I'm bound to travel,
Look away, look away, look away Dixie land. (Chorus)

Well, put me in a shell and call me peanut!!! A Yankee quotin' Dixie... :p

You aren't telling me anything I don't know, Azul...

I have been roped, tied, collared and leashed... And I'm loving every minute of it...

Hey, Peanut! Actually, in the Army one of buddies was from Texas. When we were in Indiana we'd go to these places with live music, request Dixie, and sing along. I didn't know most of the lyrics so I was mostly loud during the chorus.

I have one request, DF. Please don't become a Red Sox fan.

Great! And you're lucky since the Red Sox won't make it to the World Series again for another 86 years or so. No chance the Braves will be playing them there.

I may have to edit this before BWolf gets on.

We're both going to have to stay low for a little while. Well, maybe you can distract him and make him forget about these posts.

Yeah, I think I'll need to stay behind that palm tree for a little while. That is, if you don't mind an audience since it looks like I'll get a good view from there.
