Angelina smiled at the way he worried about her. She kissed him before slipping out of his arms and dressing. It felt nice putting on clean clothes.

She began picking up fallen branches and bits of wood. She put it in a pile so Alexander could start a fire. She then headed off into the nearby area looking for some additional things they could eat.

She could not believe it when she found some mint and some fennel. A little further away she found apples and figs. Since they had given Anna the figs that they had left over from the previous evening, it was good to find more. She picked extra so they could put them away to munch on tomorrow.

She filled her skirt with with the fruits and herbs and headed back to where Alexander had hopefully caught some fish.

Alexander had slipped on the sweatpants, rolling the legs up his knees before sliding into the cooler water. He was able to quickly gather three grayling as long as his forearm and quickly cleaned them before his ears twitched before a small smirk crossed his face as he heard Angelina's soft footfalls. He quickly got the fire going, as he'd saved a few coals from the previous one, which often made it far easier to start a new fire.

He found the flat rock from the previous meal and flipped it, heating the stone and clearing away the excess remnants of the fish that had clung to the stone before he flicked it back over and sliding the fish onto the heated stone. He brushed his fingers over the strings of the lute, cocking his head slightly.

His voice was low and soft, but powerful.

Angelina heard him singing as he played the lite. The songs he sang were so strange, like nothing she had ever heard before.

As she walked close to where he worked cooking the fish in the fire, she smiled, feeling that he was singing to her alone, some mystic words.

As he finished his song, she smiled and leaned in to kiss him, thanking him for the tune and the poetic words. She then showed him the fruits and herbs she had found.

"Look, my love. Fennel and mint. And apples and more figs. We have been blessed so far but we have a long ways to go and may not always find fruit. We may at some point have to sell the lute for coin, though I love hearing you play and sing." She looked at him with smiling eyes. "Can you use any of this with our meal tonight?"

Alexander blinked before blushing slightly at Angelina's praise. "I can use those. We don't have to really sell the lute, though I could always play for coin just as easily. I'm unfamiliar with the music of this era, though I'm very familiar with... other styles of music from my own... and I can also play the piano, though it won't be invented for another... two hundred and fifty years. It's not really certain when the piano was invented, but it's generally accepted to be around 1700," he said shyly, blushing a bit before he cocked his head, noticing that the mint was a bit dry, which was perfect for his needs right now. He took the leaves and crushed them between his palms, rubbing them into a finely ground dust, sending up a delicious fragrance when it combined with the fish. "Do you know of any duet songs? I know of more than a few, some of which can be quite fun to do," he said shyly.
