Interesting results of major referendums:

😳

👍 👏 🇺🇸

Side observation:

The faux populism that DonOld sold (DonOld has / had no intention of actually helping the masses) may have helped get him re-elected, but it also helped the progressive movement in a bigly way. (To be fair, the Democrats championing progressive causes also helped - and their support was genuine.)

👍 👏 🇺🇸

I still believe the Democratic Party’s leaderships’ approach to progress was / is more pragmatic, practicable and sustainable, with targeted investments in key sectors of the economy and society (Kamala’s opportunity economy), but it looks like unbridled populism is the order of the day.

This wave of progressive populism running parallel / counter to DonOld and the MAGAt republicans’ oligarchical Christo-fascism is going to yield some interesting results.(Something is going to have to give.)

Regardless; the trains are already going down the tracks alongside one another, and when they cross paths…well…interesting times…

The progressive movement did just fine this election, and DonOld has made a fuckto of populist progressive promises when it comes to workers and the masses.

If DonOld keeps what I believe to be empty progressive promises to the populist workers and the masses, then the progressives win.

If DonOld fails to deliver on his (empty) progressive promises and betrays the populist workers and the masses, while catering to the rich…again, then the progressives will win even bigger in 2026 and 2028.

The obvious costs and hardships related to climate change will force all governments to be more progressive when it comes to fossil fuels / greenhouse gases.

Progress is inevitable. It would have happened quicker under Democratic leadership (Democrats did make progress over the past four years) but some people never learn.
