Calandre woke up, to interestingly, find himself in a starnge room, red carpeting on the floor, and a strange man, robed in black, thin, yet with a fleshy face, staring at him. "I trust you've slept well", said the man. "Who the hell are you? Tell me, or I'll rip you're heart out!" demanded Calandre. "Wrong", chuckled the man. "For I've already ripped out yours. You are my revenant. You will do my vengeance on those who embarassed me. Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself", he said contemptiously. "My name is Alamonius. I shall soon be the greatest mage on this sorry planet, and you will find it an honor to serve me. As a revenant, you will find all your senses more alert and powerful, as well as your speed and strength increased enormously. On top of this, you can't die from mortal wounds. But you shall have one weakness, and you'll be careful of it, or I'll destroy in a painful manner. I'll crush your heart", said Alamonius, lifting a plain black box. "That weakness is that you still have mortal feelings", said the mage.
Calandre thought back on that speech of his master's grimacing. The warrior woman took it as a sign that the food was bad. She was about to call a servant, but Callandre said no. "Actually the food is quite good", as indeed it was. This was the most expensive restaraunt in this god forsaken land. Guesyth was not a friendly place. It was largely one huge montain range, which was only broken by equally large forests. He feared that also, his feelings were taking hold of him, with this woman. He had been sent by Alamonius, the bastard telling him she would soon join with other warriors, males. When Callandre had asked how he knew, the only answer was that he had been to a scrying. Now, he felt love for this woman, and felt something strange nearing, some feeling that his destiny would soon be changed.
