The start and end of a story

I've posted thirty odd stories on Literotica, but probably started at least twice that many only to have either me or the story run out of interest. Up until now the storiy fragments just found their way to the byte basket, but I'm wondering if it would be worth while posting them here instead, to see if they'd be of interst to some other writer.

For example, I've an idea about a husband who works in drug research and develops a family of chemicals that control particular mental processes, like truth, inhibitions, amnesia, and the like.

He's a wanna be voyeur. tells his wife about his research, and they experiment with some of the drugs, so she knows it's on the level. I can even provide some of the protein chemistry that'd make the idea work technically.

Anyhow, at some point he incourages her to put on a sex show for him, and she does.

When it's over, and they're in bed, just the two of them, he says "I've got a confession to make. The pill I gave you, it was a placibo."

She snuggles against him and says "I have a confession to make, too. I know it was."

So that's the story line and a possible ending. Anyone want to fill in the blanks?

No one has picked up on this story idea. I can understand that, it's like wearing someone else's clothes. Anyhow, I had a few hours to fill today, and decided to see if I could craft the story. If you're interested.it's called "Tonytony3's Prescription", and should be in new stories in a few days.

Ok TonyTony what are the other 59 start/stops?

That one was not for me! Maybe another?

i like your concept. Perhaps you could bring in an unwilling character such as a friend/neighbor they both lust after.. along those lines.
after having them over to the house for a 'get together' the chemicals that have been slipped into a beverage begin to work but maybe a bit too much.
this character (woman?) begins to be an exhibitionist extrodinaire. The wife loosens up.. falls for friend, gives shows to hubby. all the time thinking shes also getting the drug but then realizes that she isnt.. and she is now willing to do things she didnt think she would enjoy...
just ideas.. but i like the mind control aspect.
good luck!

Well, as for the story concept I first suggested, I posted Prescriptions, but there's more than one way to complete this particular reaction. It'd be fun to start with the same concept and compare the finished stories. Pearl and I did Illuminence and Afterglow that way, both are pretty hot and very different.

AS for other story lines:

Consier pulling into a hotel during a long road trip with your wife, who doesn't drink. Suppose you check in at 8, have a quick dinner, go back to the room, have an enjoyable session in bed with some of the usual voyeur/cuckold joking.

At the end of all that,

"Hmm, it's only 11. I suppose we could watch TV for a bit, or go to the lounge, have a drink, and see if you can get into trouble."

I fully expected you to say "I know 'Monster; is on pay per view, let's watch that." I didn't expct to hear what you did say.

"I'd like that, to go down to the lounge, honey."

that has possibilitiies that I don't think I'll ever write about.

OK you have my attention on this one. But I have to say been there done that. Not exactly the same start, but the basic idea has a billion stories.

The set up is a little too basic for my stories. Taking a few thoughts that are cool and maybe I can place them with a few other thoughts, and really have a strong base.

Vacation, hotel, sex with talk, place the decision on the table, wife chooses lounge, husband is surprised/ intreaged

OK 58 more to go! :D

What happens with me is somehow a story nugget sprouts into a short story. Often the characters take over, I'm left writing as fast as I can to keep up. For example, my Two Trips to Culpville didn't start off that way, the woman character turned into something more than I thought she would. Aniversery Vacation and Prostitute Games, both dealing with fairly common 'bones' grew into prize winning stories as well. I never know when I do one of these how its going to turn out, I don't use an outline for short stories.

Now serious works, both fiction and nonfiction, are a different matter. I have to conform to an outline, else the story (or report) is apt to go to places I'd rather not disclose.

I'll be interested in your take on Prescriptions -- like so many other stories, it went places I didn'ty expect it to.

haven't read your chemical story yet, but the premise sounds like something you could use for multiple chapters.

Do alot of people find that a good story makes it possible for sequels? Or is it just a chance happening?

In many of my stories feedback suggests readers want a follow on chapter. So far, all of the stories I've posted, including Tonytony3's Prescriptions, are one chaper long.

I've something that should appear any day that's actually intended to run several chapters, though. It's A Swan's Song.

Prescriptions ends with a kind of a double twist, and I think it ends in the right place.
