Through the Looking Glass

I thought about this and about some mates I've had for a very long time. Specific traits don't seem to cover it, it's more than that.
We'd do anything for each other, although being blokes, we're unlikely to ask.
We laugh at and with each other.
We know the others successes and struggles, it's all good.
We might not chat for months but carry on as if it was yesterday.
If needed, we'd be there.


After writing this I'm going to phone a couple of lads I haven't spoken to in a while. 😀

Day 17:
We will be celebrating Thanksgiving here in the States in a few weeks.
What is or would be your staple dish to bring to a work potluck to celebrate prior to the holiday?
 
Day 17: I'd probably fix a sweetpotato casserole with pecans on top instead of marshmallow. Not the can of yams my mom would fix, that I always stuck my nose up at. Not a fan of marshmallow! 😁

What is or would be your staple dish to bring to a work potluck to celebrate prior to the holiday?
The only thing I can think of is the fruit salad I was introduced to by the in-laws at my first Thanksgiving up here before I married their daughter.
It's more like the ambrosia the Southerners have because it's fruit cocktail, bananas, shredded coconut (ugh) and whipped cream.

1- Sunshine. nobody can command it, pretend it or control it. Much like Love.
2- From a past relationship I learned that when an alarm bell rings in my head, I need to act fast—it's a warning that something's off, and ignoring it is counterproductive.
3- Meditation and introspection. That's someting I do to nourish myself deeply. I wish I learned earlier how beneficial it is.
