The American people rejected that in 2016. The media will have you believe America is deeply divided politically. Let’s say someone is against Trump. Is everything he does bad for that individual? I seriously doubt it. I can’t think of one single American that loves to pay fucking taxes. Who wouldn’t want to keep more of the money they make? I don’t have a problem with paying my fair share - but it’s a problem when I see where my tax dollars are going. That’s just one issue, and each issue is going to have collateral damage.

Fair trade sounds fair to me, but impossible to achieve given the fact America has moved towards more goods and services oriented economy rather than manufacturing.
Tie that in with IP theft and no one standing up to China and that brings about Tariffs. Is there another way to hash out trade deals. Sure, but will it curb China’s imbalance?
The point is, short term pain is usually endured for long term benefits. The bottom line is Trump is playing fast and loose with the rules, running the country like a buisiness. If a business doesn’t grow year after year, if ceases to keep its doors open. So whatever Trump is doing - right or wrong - the economy is roaring, GDP growth is up, unemployment is down, Kim isn’t launching nukes, and the apocalypse hasn’t happened.

So if lying and being a bad guy like Trump is so bad, can you at least agree there is some good?

Yeah, the Dems have a hard road ahead if they want to win. I think America was also tired of beltway politics in general so they WTF and thre a monkey wrench into the system.

TBH, I don't know a lot about the China issue except for reading that in 2012 they got far more aggressive than ever in trying to expand and such. Also read that pretty much all but one economist was for the trade war and Trump took that guys advice. So, don't know what other measures were taken before and we'll see where it goes.

Presidents come and presidents go and the economy is the economy. Even so, presidents do like to take credit when things are good. I do think the economy and markets got a Trump bump given he's business friendly and deregulating things.

I hope Trump isn't running the country like his businesses! But yeah, things are humming along fine for now.

It had nothing to do with Trumps political/personal beliefs. You said Trump had nothing to do with Charlottesville. I showed you a link where the alt-right leader said Trump becoming president energized them and there would have ben no rally if he wasn't president. Therefore, Trump had a direct influence on Charlottesville regardless of his political/personal beliefs.

No, I can see where you'd view his belittling/insulting/name calling comments to multiple women as specific incidents, not a pattern reflecting an underlying attitude. Or he's not an misogynist because he may not hate all women, just those that don't behave the way they ought to (this happens with misogynists). Or because he loves women, no one has more respect for women he says, he's even married to one! And so on.

I merely said Trump was running the country like “a” business, not “his” business - which as you said is humming along fine. It’s amazing what a president can do to the economy removing certain things holding it back. However, if Trump doesn’t back off pushing the Fed to lower interest rates, the economy would go into inflation and/or crash. Right now there’s a labor shortage for the amount of jobs in the State of Georgia. This may be an underlying reason for the push on immigration reform. I can’t see it being tied into the pro-life /anti abortion issue to fill available jobs because a baby won’t potentially enter the workforce for 18-19 years.
Anyway, I’m sure Trump has a grand plan to keep the economy rolling through election time and beyond. If the Democrats wanted Trump outta office so bad, they’d go after disrupting his trade deal with China or USMCA. Those two areas would actually put the breaks on the economy.
Nevertheless, 2020 is going to be hard to unseat Trump and with things going well, I’m definitely voting for him again.

The economy is mostly the economy and largely a carry over from the Obama years (including programs and incentives in place to bring back companies/jobs from other countries). Trump's bumped it some, but he hasn't supercharged it. And some of his deregulations and rollbacks may come back to haunt us.

I don't think Trump has any sort of grand plan. He didn't even think he was going to be president, he had zero transition team in place.

If the Dems don't get it together it's a real possibility.
