Yep you may well be correct about letting things go.

problem with that is that the same people keep attacking "in packs" anyone that has the temerity not to bow to ther point of view.

Going back through several different threads you will not the quietest are those with least inhabitants. Go back through some of the longer threads and the population normaly happens when a couple of "buddies" start to dominate and want it there way, regardless of the right or wrong.

On 2 occasions now i have been attacked for something i dont understand, no explenation of what the alleged offence was

Just questions such as "who are u calling a tart"? and on that scroe the ANSWER IS NO ON. I was asked what i had been doing and I gave an answer.

wich no sane person could understand as a question or a protest, I belived it to be a comment, the general banter on the board, but obviousley there is a code of language that excludes others, and that no one is willing to explain, hell then we end up with a dead thread because no one understands whats going on.
