Proximity to the equator, methinks..

Is it really that cold? I know that Germany and also Iceland were having quite the heat wave last week..

Port Elizabeth (or Gqeberha as it has been renamed after "normalization") coordinates are 33.9608° S, 25.6022° E, the average winter temperature is 15°C, which is the same distance from the Equator as Cyprus, except that there is a cold current running along the Eastern Cape rather than being in the middle of the Med.

The last 10 days the temperature here, in the Fens of England hovered around the 12/15 degrees mark!

Another rainy overcast weekend. Why is it that we have had more of these during the lockdowns than is normal? It would have been nice to spend more time in the garden but it seems that this Spring and Summer have been wetter than usual.

Hey Dee, we almost hit 19 deg C yesterday, had to strip off right down to my long johns and two shirts, really going for it!!

Just been living life quietly, bud.
Not quite the extrovert I used to be - think I'm slowing down in my old age! :eek:
Dunno about you, but last week I noticed that I've gone from having dark brown hair, with the occasional grey wisp to white hair with the occasional grey wisp. I guess that's going around though... :cool:
