We Survived - (An OOC Casting Call)

You guys hurried past Paula and Gary being the closest to the crash site, you know. A passing reference at least would have been good.

I'll post here to let you know Katamari. It's a Saturday where I am, so that means child wrangling is #1 priority for me atm. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten.

Ahren, I have an idea.

You were pretty ambiguous about Jayden's involvement with the outbreak, so here is what I have.

Jayden is on the run, and left the west coast before the shit hit the fan. He's laying low in royal oaks, hoping that things get under control before it reaches the midwest. So he's hunkered down in some kind of shelter waiting it out. But he needs resource X that we have, or we need resource X that you have.

Asha is in a hardware store. If there isn't a CV radio in there, she could use the one in PG's truck. Anyways, we cantact one another, and perhaps join forces.

Its your character, so I mean, whatever. Just something I was thinking about. :)

Him being on the run was pretty much my front runner idea. A small town might be a safer place to hide in than a big city, etc. I just felt I needed a reason why that town in particular. The outbreak is implied to have started in the west so why did he travel that far? And so on.

The sooner I can put my frozen pig to a zombie´s face, the better.

Because he needed to pick up some secret documents that nobody else could have access to, for example?

Maybe, but it would make more sense if it were a person he was looking for. As if it were an object like documents then you'd have to decide why they were there. A person might be there to just get away from it all. Whether or not this person is alive doesn't even matter since it would mostly just be a plot device to get him to the town.

Could it be as simple as he has family in the area?

Maybe he warned his immediate family, and they got killed because his shelter failed, or something.

haha.

Well, I know the area that were RPing in, ironically. And I know this much:

There is a lot of chemical treatment facilities here. Perhaps it is something to do with the zombies.

Also: The University of Michigan, even though its not as well known as some of the others like Harvard or Yale or Columbia etc., is pretty high-end. Since your character is a scientist, he could possibly be working and/or consulting in ann arbor, which is relatively close to the area.

One owed post down, another to go. Never fear, Tears, I haven't forgotten about Thomas.

Remember, Lady Reina has a pretty mysterious character coming in.

She said she was going to PM me regarding some of her character details but hasn't gotten around to it yet, so I was considering just waiting to see if that gave me any ideas. Barring that, the U of M concept might work.

Yeah U of M is a pretty big deal academically. Like, I would say top 20 in the nation. They dont get the name as much because athletically they are decent too, but they are right up there. Its been my dream to go to school there for awhile.

And they do a lot of cutting edge research in pretty much everything. So it would be a good fit

REIHA.
*Bop*

She's gone til... the 10th? At least from getting RP stuff going too heavily.
She's off selling and showing off her purty pictures.
And she owes me a monkey.

Alright. Can't help myself.

Listen, everyone. I know it's been a little confusing. I know that, with a thread this size, there's a lot going on.

But I'm really happy to be working with all of you. It's a great bunch we have. So thanks for the patience, thanks for the work, and thanks for the constant discussions and communications.

You're naughty. >_>

Oh wait, this is literotica.com. o_O

Zing!

*was thinking the same thing as Brandon shot up the town*

But I think now that we have trackers in our post that aspect will get better. As I think i've said (at least thought!) everyone kept saying "town" without much relation to each other. On top of that I remember at least 3 crashes, whether they were NPC's or not I'm not entirely sure. Should get better as the chaos cools and we get a feel for where everyone is. Unfortunately i'm not sure if we'll be able to sustain such large posts while all our characters are smushed together.

That doesn't mean the quality will fall, of course. :)

One other thing... I think we need to have some sort of status quo rule about moving other players characters. Something to the effect of allowing players to move characters around, and even speak for them on occasion, but nothing that will majorly change the plot. That way people can write a bit more into their posts and things can flow naturally until we start pairing off a little bit. I'm just throwing the idea out there however, I leave the vote to the masses.

I'll make a rule on this one:

If you want to move another player's character around, or have them speak, you absolutely -have- to have consent from the player involved. Otherwise, as a general rule, it's an absolute no-no.

That's what I'm asking for...

I don't mind if Brandon moves, knocks over a zombie, bumps into someone or something. It's not conducive to have to write every little action for me. If the group is going somewhere and it seems logical that Brandon would follow I don't mind if someone writes him following. Just sayin and givin my permission. As long as people can distinguish between small obvious actions and plot or story changing actions (which i think everyone here can) I'm fine with it.

I, of course, will ask people for their permission until i hear otherwise.

Im OK with this, and give you all my consent.

however, if you cross the line, I will let you know.

I don't think that I will have to do that though. Everyone here seems pretty astute and reasonable.

I'll admit I've been a bit bothered by people having my character react to things when they don't feasibly know that he'd react that way. I let it slide because they were fairly common sense things, but I'm gonna request that you don't from now on, just in case it doesn't fit. You're welcome to ask me if you want my character to say or do something in particular though.

On little things, yeah, move Gary around as needed so it doesn't slow things down too much. Anything more than that, just holler, and I'll see what can be done.

Also, If I know I'll be out of commission, I'll leave general instructions of what to do with him.

Oh.. and if I do anything you don't like, please PM me to let me know and I will address it ASAP.
